SKIP THE H IBERNATION Advice from Personal Trainer, Ali It’s that time of year again when the bikinis get stored away, and motivation to hit the gym hits an annual low. My aim is stop you going into hibernation mode and prevent you storing up body fat - it’s totally achievable to get lean and maintain low body fat levels all through the winter months to fit into those LBD’s and LBS’s (Little Black Shirts)!

All it takes is a bit of planning, preparation and perseverance, so follow me as I coach you through chilly November to the Christmas party season. We all know that December is the time for parties, so why not prepare for the season early and beat the rush in the gym.

RULE NUMBER 1: NUTRITION IS THE KEY TO STAYING LEAN As the temperature dips, most people tend to turn to comfort foods which are often high in calories and fat. It’s important to remember that no matter how hard you train, you can’t out train a poor diet. Speak to any of our experienced personal trainers for advice on what to substitute those winter carbs for.
