HELMERHUS

Copenhagen, Denmark, a city renowned for its rich history, stunning architecture, and forward-thinking sustainability initiatives, is a shining example of how to give new life to old buildings.
As urbanization continues to reshape cities worldwide, Copenhagen’s commitment to preserving its historic structures while adapting them for modern use stands as a model for responsible urban development. Copenhagen has revitalized its old buildings, ensuring they remain an integral part of the city’s cultural and architectural heritage.
Helmerhus, also known as ”Helmers Hus,” is a historic building located in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark. Its story is one of architectural significance, preservation, and adaptation to modern use, emblematic of Copenhagen’s commitment to its historical heritage.
Helmerhus was constructed in the late 18th century during the reign of King Christian VII of Denmark. Originally, it was built as a stately residence, showcasing the neoclassical architectural style of the time. Its elegant facade, intricate detailing, and spacious interiors made it a notable structure of its era. Over the years, it served various purposes, including housing for prominent families and offices for businesses.
”Hoffmann A/S has advised on the project and the building’s resources, for example Green Byggeplads, disposal of inventory and upcycling of certain building materials”
Helmerhus reminds us that even as cities evolve and modernize, the echoes of the past can be kept alive through careful restoration and adaptive reuse. It is a testament to the idea that historic buildings are not relics of the past but living links between generations, telling stories of the city’s history and offering inspiration for its future.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of businesses and have developed a keen interest in artistic photography.
a new beginning, free from strife a chance to shine, to start a new, with a new purpose, and a fresh view
Walking through the buildings, one cannot help but feel a sense of admiration for the elderly gentleman and his expectations for the new and modern expression that is being created. It can be exciting to see a building take shape and become something new and different while thinking about its past and history.
The building stood tall, through the test of time a landmark in the city, a place to climb. Now it’s been revitalized, a new purpose in sight a place for the community, a place for delight. The paint is peeling, the windows cracked but soon they’ll be replaced, that’s a fact. The walls will be alive with sound as new voices fill the space around
From the rooftop to the basement floor this building’s ready to explore a space for art, for music, for play to create memories day by day.
Visitors who enter the old building may feel as though they are stepping back in time, as they are transported to a different era when things were simpler and more refined.
The creaky floors, the musty smell, and the faded decor all contribute to the sense of nostalgia and history that permeates the old building
THIS OLD MAN HAS BEEN STANDING HERE FOR YEARS, LIVING A GREAT LIFE, LATELY UNINSPIRED, BUT NOW THERE’S SOMETHING NEW IN STORE
The artpieces are growing in my mind. The colors, the shapes and the structures
These variations are not intented but nevertheless, there is a matching relation between the colors and therefor a coincidental harmony that is impossible not to take in
Bricks and concrete walls
old paint cracks and holes
wooden floor old farnis and old glue
revelations of constructions stripped in magical light bricks revealed under plaster thinking of who made this
tight, organic, different material stripes live together
wodden floor old farnis and old glue
Structures and colors in even smaller areas create details
something new
structure and colors tells a story
a piece of art just right there
a life of it’s own, vivid, exciting and filled with energy
natural colors are easy on the eye
just colors create life
dark and light landscapes structures and light and shadows play together
These variations were not intented, but the relation between the colors and the structure creates magic that is impossible to ignore. The harmony sits right in front of my eyes - just waiting to be explored.
And in the forest of natural colors found in this great building even brighter ones come to life
Setting the scene of a new angle and an alternative thought of existing materials in a new setting - inspiring us to make new use of what we see

And yet find recognizable elements
Artwork holds a special place in people’s hearts, and receiving a piece of art in a carefully crafted box can make the experience even more meaningful.
A well-designed box can enhance the overall presentation and protect the artwork from damage during transportation or storage. You can customize the box by adding personal touches like artwork prints, decorative elements, or even a handwritten note expressing your sentiments.
The presentation is just as important as the artwork itself. The effort in designing a special box shows your appreciation and care for the recipient, making it a heartfelt and memorable gift.
The gift box you can accommodate is two different sizes: 60 cm by 80 cm and 90 cm by 120 cm.

A great gift from the company to all employees to improve the indoor climate, when opening a new department or possibly visits from abroad
