Chris Irving began his career in real estate in June of 2020 when he joined the team of Corey Lamothe and Melanie Dennis. A long-time resident of the Vail Valley, Chris brings a myriad of skills and talents based on his experience with the Vail Valley Tourism Bureau from 2000 to 2005, then as a prominent business owner from 2004 – 2019.

Originally from Litchfield County in Connecticut, Chris was drawn to the beauty of Colorado in 1989 to attend CU Boulder. After graduating in 1994, he took a position as Employee #25 with SeaChange International, a global tech start-up. As the Western Sales Manager based in San Francisco, he oversaw $30M in sales each year from 1995-1998.

Chris and Pollyanna live in Eagle with their two fur kids, Bodhi and Jack where they continue to enjoy the mountain lifestyle and all it has to offer.

Chris left San Francisco and returned to the Vail Valley where he worked at Zino Ristorante and met his future wife Pollyanna Forster. Then in 2000, he took a position with the Vail Valley Tourism Bureau as Director of Business Development and Marketing, overseeing all publications until his departure in 2005.

But in 2004 opportunity knocked and Chris and Pollyanna opened their first of several successful businesses in Edwards – Eat Drink. Dish/Dive followed in 2006 and Cut Artisan Meat + Seafood in 2007. In 2012 Eat Drink Denver opened followed by Tacorico in Edwards in 2014. As founder and owner, Chris’s role was CFO and day-to-day controller. He managed all financial projections, all accounting, all tax interactions, all negotiations, and A/R, A/P.

By 2019, all of the businesses had been sold and Chris spent the following year embracing his love of the Vail Valley by tele skiing, biking and hiking while he pursued his real estate license, bringing together a culmination of his skills and talents as a 22-year resident. As a detail-oriented entrepreneur, Chris has extensive experience in financial modeling, is proficient in construction and structural development, and is skilled at analyzing options.
