Following recent updates to Australian immigration laws and the expanded eligibility for British citizens under the Working Holiday Visa program, exciting new avenues have opened for hospitality professionals seeking to experience life and work in Australia. We have been engaged exclusively by this hospitality group to identify and attract standout UK-based talent eager to relocate to Australia on a Working Holiday Visa.
As a global business with global hubs, we leveraged this position to source the best possible talent. For this project, our APAC office partnered closely with our UK division to identify over 80 exceptional hospitality professionals interested in relocating to Australia.
Quickly, we were able to build a shortlist of 20 profiles based on recommendations from our London office. We narrowed the list further and began directly reaching out to potential candidates to explore their interest in relocation. During these early conversations, we discussed the practicalities of moving to Australia, as well as the lifestyle and opportunities offered in key cities such as Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth. At this stage, our aim was to ensure candidates had both the motivation and flexibility to make the transition.
With our comprehensive shortlist in place, we commenced detailed screening interviews with each candidate.
The first step is to go in depth with the candidate on their experienc background, where they want to go next, what’s important to them in term of job, company, etc.
Before presenting any role to a candidate, we take the time to understand them in depth to ensure it’s the right fit for them.
After building a comprehensive understanding of both sides, we introduced shortlisted candidates to the company and outlined the details of the role.
This included discussing job responsibilities, growth potential, team structure, company culture, leadership style, and available benefits.
Through this carefully tailored approach, we ensure complete transparency and alignment before submission
Finally, our team presented the shortlist to the clients
They were extremely impressed with the caliber of talents introduced and proceeded to interview all presented candidates. We facilitated all interviews, whether virtually or in person.
We successfully place over 90% of shortlisted candidates with the company, and all of these hires have arrived in Australia and started immediately with our client.
We’ve loved hearing how well our candidates are doing and how much they’re enjoying their new home
