Parental leave is offered at Concordia College as part of its family-friendly work environment, providing up to six weeks of paid leave at full pay for both birthing and non-birthing parents. Birthing parents have the opportunity to use an additional six weeks of extended illness benefit for a total of 12 paid weeks off.

REJUVENATE

Concordia offers 13 total paid holidays per year, including the dates between Christmas and New Year’s.

Planned Time Off (PTO) starts at 18 days per year (used for personal and sick days).

A new employee may seek a higher PTO accrual if he/she received paid leave benefits at his or her most recent employer that exceed the amount of PTO and holiday pay otherwise received under this policy. Contact HR for more details.

Extended Illness Benefit (EIB) is offered for illness greater than three days. New employees are granted a balance of four weeks and accrue 8 hours per month.

Benefits are based on a 1.0 FTE. Some benefits are pro-rated based on actual FTE, see HR for details.
