With that in mind, the Kragujevac Regional Chamber of Commerce is planning to take a delegation to India and hopefully such exchanges will increase. We need to see more bilateral meetings and more mutual participation in trade fairs and business events. India’s biggest investment in Serbia is represented by the Embassy Group’s planned construction of an IT park in Inđija. Is this investment going ahead, despite the crisis, and is it likely to lead to the arrival of more Indian investors? To the best of my knowledge, the project is ‘on’ and the land will be made available this autumn, which is when implementation of the project will start. This is a huge project that will be implemented in phases. I think the first phase will involve construction of around 25,000m2 of office space for software companies and then the development will continue phase by phase. I’m quite sure that more Indian investments will be forthcoming once this development gets underway. Which sectors of the Serbian economy are of most interest to Indian companies? Some Indian businesses have been looking at the prospects of setting up production
