It`s important to remember that Seychelles is located in the Southern Hemisphere: seasons there are opposite to the Northern hemisphere. That`s why in this presentation we`ll tell you about the period from June to August which is summer in Europe, but in Seychelles, it`s winter.

What to do in Seychelles in summer

Most travelers go to Seychelles for breathtaking surfing and windsurfing. After all, the state consists of one hundred and fifteen atolls, so everyone can choose for themselves a place for doing sea sports to their taste.

The best time to tame the ocean falls at the end of May and lasts until the beginning of September. Due to the southeast winds, large waves appear on the ocean. But on the island of Mahe, the season of surfers lasts from November to the end of April.

The underwater flora of Seychelles is vibrant and diverse. Therefore, diving among tourists here is no less popular than surfing. The best time for diving falls on the period from April to May, as well as from September to October.

At this time, visibility under the sea surface is as good as possible, as the ocean waters are calm. It is worth noting that due to the presence of a large number of sharks around the islands, diving is possible only in strictly designated places.

Despite the fact that there are very few historical and architectural monuments in the Seychelles, sightseeing tours are no less popular in this direction.

The fact is that nature itself created the most striking sights here, and most of them are no longer met by tourists anywhere in the world. It is worth noting that for this type of vacation, you should choose your travel time only based on your own preferences.

If you are difficult to tolerate high humidity, it is best to go on excursions in the spring or in the summer.

Seychelles are also chosen by fishing enthusiasts. As a catch, you can get simply incredible oceanic gifts, the sizes of which will impress even experienced fishermen. Many Seychelles lovers set their personal records.

Choosing a time for relaxation is based solely on preferences.

For example, marlin can be caught between mid-autumn and early spring, tuna pecks excellently throughout the summer, and unusual fish such as swordfish or bonfish peck all winter and spring.

In general, deep sea fishing can be practiced all year round. But for fans of fly fishing or casting, luck will accompany only from the end of autumn to June.

The main holiday, National Day, is celebrated on June 18, this day is public holiday.

Another important date in the history of Seychelles is June 29, on this day in 1976, Britain granted the Seychelles independence. Since then, Independence Day is annually celebrated on this day in the country.

On June 5, Seychelles celebrate another important date - the Day of Liberation. It is dedicated to the coup d'ĂŠtat that took place in the country in 1977, when the socialists came to power.

These days, festivities take place in Victoria, local residents celebrate obtaining the right to independence, many of them remember the events that occurred in the 70s.
