Copy Castle’s founder shares her millionaire story...

“It’s not about your degree; it’s about your skills.”

This is what the young entrepreneur, Mranlee Cala, had to say when asked about how she turned her renowned agency, Copy Castle, from startup to success.

They were words that you wouldn’t expect from an academic achiever like her who had always been the valedictorian, the top of her class from preschool to college. Even at a very young age, she already valued her education,striving to maintain her class standing since day one. She had always believed that having the best education would give her the ideal life she dreamed of, but unforeseen circumstances taught her otherwise.

The shift happened during the pandemic. She was in second year college by then, quite relieved that classes would be suspended for a week and she could finally enjoy a much-needed rest after sleepless nights reviewing for her midterms. She just didn’t expect for that week to turn into a month and then later on into a year. Two years later, she was still stuck at home, her diploma on hold because COVID restrictions wouldn’t allow students to proceed with their trainings and apprenticeships. She didn’t know what to do next when pursuing her education was no longer an option.

It was then that she decided to look for other opportunities. She had to because she wanted to reach her ultimate goal of building her own dream house by age 25. While looking for jobs online, she discovered the path that would change her entire life for the better: freelancing.

The 24-year old copywriter has harnessed the power of words to build an empire.

She invested in herself and paid for digital courses and coaching until she was able to land her first freelancing client within a month. Utilizing her passion and skills as a writer, upgraded to become a copywriter, she was able to earn up to a Php 70,000 monthly salary. She realized that no amount of formal education would’ve allowed her to earn so much despite having no degree and prior experience. She had to learn the craft, of course, but it only took her a month and not four years to get the necessary know-how and then secure a high-paying job that would have been impossible to attain if she kept up with the traditional method and applied for a local job. She was earning even more than her parents spective careers.

Fueled by her personal dream and her desire to help brands make a name for themselves, she has managed to expand Copy Castle into a multi-millionaire agency with happy contractors and grateful clients under her wing.

Now, she is residing in her dream home with her husband and their pets. They travel in their spare time as they can manage and grow their business through a screen.
