Kearny Police Report According to state law, there are two methods by which police may arrest suspected offenders. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damages are estimates. Dec. 13 Suspicious activity was reported on the 300 block of Greenwich. A welfare check was requested on the 300 block of Greenwich. Agency assist to HPD with a traffic stop. Dec. 14 A verbal warning was issued for improper land change. Citizen assist with keys locked in a vehicle. A written warning was issued for speed.
A verbal warning was issued for failure to dim lights. Dec. 16 A verbal warning was issued for a stop sign violation. A written warning was issued for a parking violation. Dec. 17 A verbal warning was issued for failure to dim lights. Citizen assist with a juvenile problem. Dec. 18 Agency assist to DPS with an accident on Hwy 177. A verbal warning was issued for disorderly conduct. Dec. 19 Citizen assist to a resident on the 300 block of Essex. During the week of Dec. 13 to Dec. 19 there were nine ambulance runs, one 911 open line report and six information reports.
Sheriff’s Report The Pinal County Sheriff’s Report is taken from the daily logs, based on the information provided by deputies. All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Dec. 19 Theft was reported in the 4900 block of N. Cholla St., Dudleyville. Kidnapping was reported in the 3500 block of N. Shiloh Dr., Dudleyville. A juvenile male, 14, was reportedly picked up by a female driving a dark blue car.
The boy’s bicycle was left at the scene. It was later reported that the boy had been injured and the female driver had taken him to his aunt’s house. Theft of checks amounting to approximately $2,000-$2,500 was reported in the 77000 block of E. Chama Ave., Dudleyville. Elder abuse was reported by hospital officials. The abuse reportedly occurred in the 22000 block of N. Mienta Ave., Kearny. The case is under investigation.
