Maintenance, upgrades continue to improve reliability You may have noticed crews in our service territory continuing work on clearing the rights-of-way (the areas around our power lines and poles). This clearing of trees, limbs and brush is an ongoing effort to decrease the number of outages and reduce the risk of someone coming in contact with the power lines. Clearing the rights-of-way protects individuals from the hazards of electricity and makes power restoration quicker and safer for Cookson Hills Electric members, the public and our personnel. Please contact Marty Huff at 918-775-2211with any questions or concerns you may have about this project. METER CHANGE-OUTS CONTINUE

We continue exchanging older meters on our system to newer meters in order to improve usage data available to you as well as our communication to your meter. This is an ongoing transition, and you might have already received your new meter. Newer digital meters allow you to more closely monitor your energy consumption and pinpoint ways to save energy and money — especially during the summer months. Contact us at 800-328-2368 if you have any questions or concerns.

Join us for a drivethru Annual Meeting Saturday, Oct. 2 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sallisaw High School parking area. More details to come.

CHEC offices will be closed Monday, July 5, in observance of Independence Day. Please call 800-328-2368 if you experience a power outage or safety hazard.
