Member satisfaction survey coming soon During the next few months, Cookson Hills Electric Cooperative will be sponsoring a survey that is conducted every three years to measure the quality of service provided to you, our memberowners. This survey will ask several questions about your satisfaction with the cooperative and energy usage. In this random survey of members, a mixture of online and telephone interviews will be conducted. You may be sent an email invitation to participate in the survey OR you may be sent a postcard in the mail inviting you to participate. Members may
also be randomly selected to complete a telephone interview. It should take approximately 12 minutes to answer all questions on the phone. The call center conducting the survey will identify themselves as calling on behalf of CHEC. They will be conducting calls Monday-Friday from 5-8:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. No Sunday or holiday calling will be conducted. Upcoming District Meetings The dates have been selected for Cookson Hills Electric Cooperative’s 2021 District Meetings. We encourage members to check their mailboxes for post cards being mailed out July 1 announcing the upcoming District Meetings for members residing in Districts 2, 4 and 6. The official notice of the meetings will be mailed out in late July with specific details pertaining to each District Meeting. Please read these notices carefully as they will provide important information related to the meeting including each location address and the qualifications for members seeking election. The dates and times for the meetings are as follows: District 2 meeting is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 16 at 6 p.m. District 4 meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 17 at 6 p.m. District 6 meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 19 at 6 p.m. District 2, 4 and 6 are currently represented by incumbent trustees Dan Callahan, Dart Drummonds and Joe Ogle respectively.

Maintenance, upgrades continue to improve reliability You may have noticed crews in our service territory continuing work on clearing the rights-of-way (the areas around our power lines and poles). This clearing of trees, limbs and brush is an ongoing effort to decrease the number of outages and reduce the risk of someone coming in contact with the power lines. Clearing the rights-of-way protects individuals from the hazards of electricity and makes power restoration quicker and safer for Cookson Hills Electric members, the public and our personnel. We continue exchanging older meters on our system to newer meters in order to improve usage data available to you as well as our communication to your meter. This is an ongoing transition, and you might have already received your new meter. Newer digital meters allow you to more closely monitor your energy consumption and pinpoint ways to save energy and money — especially during the summer months.
