Na Oficina Mustra, a arte mistura-se com a roupa. Peças contemporâneas decoram o espaço que este criativo inaugurou há dois anos, exclusivamente dedicado à moda masculina. Veríssimo Mustra é uma autoridade no que toca a gravatas, é a sua especialidade, mas o gosto e sabedoria pelos tecidos fez com que desenhasse também outras peças de roupa. “Tudo aqui é da melhor qualidade”, diz, “os melhores fios e sedas”. A viver entre Itália e Portugal nos últimos doze anos, gosta de Lisboa, principalmente das zonas boémias. Comercialmente, acha que esta é a melhor zona. At Oficina Mustra, art mixes with clothes. Contemporary artworks decorate the space that this designer opened two years ago and which is exclusively dedicated to men’s fashion. Veríssimo Mustra is an authority when it comes to ties, but his style and knowledge about materials means that he also designs other items of clothing. “Everything here is made of the best quality”, he says. “The finest threads and silks”. Shuttling between Italy and Portugal for the last twelve years, he likes Lisbon and considers the avenue the best place to be.

Há 47 anos que o Sr. Américo recebe os hóspedes do Hotel Tivoli Lisboa, um dos mais emblemáticos da cidade. Lembra-se bem de Beatriz Costa, que viveu neste hotel mais de trinta anos. “Era uma figura muito querida de todos nós”, conta, “quando ia para o estrangeiro trazia presentes para os nossos filhos”. Entre outros hóspedes inesquecíveis estão Fidel Castro e o Dalai Lama. “Pelo passado do povo do Tibete”, explica o Sr. Américo, “estávamos muito curiosos em conhecer o líder”. Não trocaria esta avenida por nenhuma outra zona da cidade. For the last 47 years, Senhor Américo has been welcoming guests to the Tivoli Lisboa, one of the city’s most emblematic hotels. He remembers Beatriz Costa, the actress who lived in this very hotel for more than thirty years. “She was very dear to all of us”, he recounts. “When she travelled abroad she used to bring presents back for our children.” Among the many unforgettable guests, Fidel Castro and the Dalai Lama spring to mind, “given the past of the people of Tibet, we were curious to see the lider”. He wouldn’t change the avenue for any other part of the city.
