pepper creek family farms Pepper Creek Family Farms is a fifteenacre sustainable farm owned and operated by brothers Morgan and Eric Boyd. Both brothers are Cal Poly alumni and combat veterans of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. PCFF is the first farm on the Central Coast to be Homegrown by Heroes Certified.
F.E.E.D. is approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs, which allows military veterans to apply their Post 9/11 GI Bill or Chapter 31 Vocational Rehabilitation. F.E.E.D. program
Cal Poly’s F.E.E.D. is an intensive 12-week certificate program designed to immerse participants in a hands-on learning experience that will introduce them to the knowledge and basic skills of farming while also providing mentoring support to create a foundation for long-term success in agriculture and related industries. The first cohort of F.E.E.D. is tentatively scheduled for 12 weeks beginning September 5 through December 15, 2017. The expected cost is $6,000, pending formal campus approvals.
