Currently, parking is enforced and permits are required Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Effective January 1, 2016, permits will be required to park on campus seven (7) days a week. Trees, foliage and bushes are a very necessary part of the landscape, and understanding how to paint them well will greatly improve your landscape paintings. In this class you will:

• Expand your painting 'vocabulary' by learning how to paint a variety of different species of trees • Find out how to understand and paint complex forest scenes as well as trees, bushes and foliage in such a landscape

This is a focus class for all levels working in any water-based media and pastel, including watercolor, acrylic, gouache, water-based oils and pastel.

Her dream process examines the depths, power, and language of dreams, and guides learners to put their dreams to work in every aspect of their lives. Laura is an active member of the International Study for the Association of Dreams and a doctoral student at Pacifica Graduate Institute.

Instructor

Intro to Enology describes and explains the basic chemistry and microbiology of winemaking to better understand how to make high-quality wines, prevent and address flaws, and improve ageability. Topics will include grape composition and harvest decisions, primary and secondary fermentation processes, spoilage organisms, sanitation procedures, the aging process, barrel dynamics, bottling considerations, flaw correction, fining agents, filtration methods and improving cellar procedures.

Instructor

Learn to be a wine connoisseur. Do you know the difference between a Merlot and a Cabernet? This course provides basic knowledge and experience in taste discrimination of a variety of Central Coast and other California wines. Learn the sensory evaluation of various components in wine as well as the varietal characteristics of wine produced on the Central Coast and in other parts of California.

Instructor

Learn how geography and climate influence wine from various regions across Europe. We will be focusing on French wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy, Rhone and Southern France plus Loire, Alsace and Champagne. We will also be covering Italian and Spanish wines. Learn how to read and interpret European wine labels and discover what sets European wines apart from those in California. You should have taken the California Wine Appreciation or another basic wine appreciation course prior to taking this course. Bring three glasses to each class.
