n Arrive in Rome, where a motorcoach will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. n Enjoy a welcome dinner this evening at a restaurant within walking distance of your hotel. n Overnight at Hotel Massimo D’Azeglio in Rome for the next two nights.

Saturday, July 11 (B) n Enjoy a city sightseeing tour of Rome, including Quirinale Palace, Via Veneto, the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. n Visit the Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica.

Sunday, July 12 (B,D) n Travel to the medieval town of Siena in Tuscany. n A local guide will show you all of the famous sights, including the central Piazza Del Campo. n Continue to the Hotel Alder Cavalieri in Florence for the next two nights.

Neuschwanstein Castle

n This morning, take a walking tour of Florence. n See Santa Groce Church, Giotto’s Bell Tower, the Cathedral and the Academia, home of Michelangelo’s famous statue of David. n The remainder of the day is free for you to enjoy Florence on your own.

Tuesday, July 14 (B,D) n Head to Pisa for a stop to see the leaning tower. n Continue to Venice. n Overnight at Hotel Carlton in Mestre for the next two nights.

Wednesday, July 15 (B) n Check out the historic part of Venice. n Walk through the old quarters to see St. Mark’s Square, St. Mark’s Cathedral, the tragic Bridge of Sighs and the Doge’s Palace. n The afternoon is free for you to explore Venice on your own.

Thursday, July 16 (B,D) n Depart Venice and travel to the Hotel Grauer Baer in Innsbruck, Austria for an overnight. n This evening, enjoy a Tyrolean Folklore Show with brass music, folk dancing and yodeling.

Friday, July 17 (B,D) n Travel to Oberammergau. n Upon arrival in the village you will have some free time to explore on your own. n This afternoon, experience history first hand and attend the Passion Play, performed only every 10 years since 1634. n Overnight at Hotel Alte Post or similar in Oberammergau.

Saturday, July 18 (B) n Depart Oberammergau and travel to Munich, the capital of Bavaria. n Stop at Nymphenburg Palace, the former residence of the Royal Bavarian Family. n Continue on to the Olympic Complex, site of the 1972 Summer Olympics. n See the famous landmarks of Munich, including the student district of Schwabing, Maximilianstrasse, Koenigsplatz and the Marienplatz. n The remainder of the day is free for you to explore Munich on your own. n Overnight at the Maritim hotel in Munich.

Sunday, July 19 (B) n Transfer to the Munich airport for your return flight to Chicago. n Upon disembarking from the plane at O’Hare, you will be met with your homebound transportation. Welcome home!
