Tuesday, October 13 (B,L) n See the Battle of Gettysburg Cyclorama depicting the final Confederate assault noted as the turning point of the Civil War. n With our Gettysburg National Park Service guide, you’ll be transported back in time to one of the Civil War’s bloodiest battles. n We’ll enjoy homemade goodness at General Pickett’s Buffet. n The afternoon is yours to explore this area abundant in history.

Wednesday, October 14 (B,D) n We start our day driving through Shenandoah National Park with its spectacular vistas. n Monticello, the one-time home of Thomas Jefferson, is a must-see. n Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. n Our overnight accommodations for the next two nights are in Williamsburg, VA.

n We’ll take another step back in time with our visit to the Jamestown Settlement – the first permanent English colony in America. n The living history museum of Colonial Williamsburg is a must-do. n Enjoy a free evening to explore and have dinner on your own.

n We continue our journey east to Washington DC for a three-night stay. n The National Museum of the Marine Corps honors the men and women who’ve served our country past, present and future. n Our visits to the Marine Corp War Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery, will allow you to honor our fallen service men and women.

n After checking in to our hotel, enjoy dinner on your own. n A walking tour of the Jefferson, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Martin Luther King, Jr., Korean War and Lincoln memorials at night provides you a view of our country’s iconic landmarks with a moonlight glow.

Saturday, October 17 (B,D) n At Mount Vernon, the home of George Washington, enjoy the home, gardens and working 18th century farm. n At the historic Ford’s Theatre, you will see a theatrical production. n Tonight, we’ll enjoy dinner together at a local restaurant.

Sunday, October 18 (B) n Our daytime walking tour of Washington DC includes the Lincoln, Vietnam War, and WWII memorials and Reflecting Pool. n The rest of the day is on your own to explore the Holocaust Museum, the Smithsonian Museum and other Washington, DC attractions. n Enjoy dinner on your own with the many dining options available to you.

Monday, October 19 (B) n Prior to leaving your Nation’s Capital, we’ll stroll past 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, DC, the location of the White House. n On our guided tour at the United States Capitol, you’ll have the opportunity to explore this symbol of the American people and our government. n Today, we start our journey west with a stop to pay tribute to the brave men and women of Flight 93. n Tonight, our overnight stay is in the quaint community of Somerset, PA.
