From the songwriter: My Friend, the Rev. John Thornburg, has sent me a number of texts. I looked through all of them and kept coming back to "Enduring Peace.'" I felt that it was the right text for the collection and wrote a simple melody to go with it.

More home-like seems the vast unknown Since they have entered there; To follow them were not so hard, Wherever they may fare.

All of the other reindeer Used to laugh and call him names; They never let poor Rudolph Join in any reindeer games.

Then one foggy Christmas Eve, Santa came to say, Rudolph with your nose so bright, Won't you guide my sleigh tonight?
