Do feel free to applaud:

When your favorite dancer appears on stage
When a dancer does many turns (rond de jambe fouette)
When a dancer balances on pointe
When a boy dancer lifts a girl dancer
In other words, you may applaud whenever you like what you see.
Do give full attention to what is being performed on stage.

Use cellular phones
Take any pictures
Hum, sing, or tap fingers or feet
Rustle programs
Make noise with gum
Open cellophane-wrapped candies
Snap purses open and closed
Read
Sigh with boredom

JULIA CZILLER REDICK
Julia Cziller Redick began her training in Budapest, Hungary, at the Hungarian Opera House and the Artist Academy.
After the outbreak of the Hungarian Revolution in 1956, Mrs. Redick immigrated to the United States and resumed her studies with her mother, Madame Alicia Reisz, formerly Prima Ballerina of the Hungarian Opera. Mrs. Redick also studied with Miss Carol Lynn, Dale Senhardt, Ann Parsons, and Oleg Tupine, and she performed with the National Ballet under the direction of Fredrick Franklin
Mrs. Redick held the position as Head of the Dance Department at Hannah More Academy in Reisterstown, Maryland, St Timothy's School in Stevenson, Maryland, and in 1971 founded the Conservatory in Columbia, Maryland. Conservatory Ballet, Ltd., of Reston followed in 1979, where she continued for the next 40 years.

ALEXIA REDICK BARTLETT
Alexia Redick Bartlett is a third generation of ballet teachers. Her grandmother Madame Alicia Reisz was a Prima Ballerina of the Hungarian Opera Her mother Julia Cziller Redick has taught for 55 years, creating more professional ballet dancers than any other in teacher of her kind Revered by many as the best ballet teacher in the Washington Metropolitan Area, Mrs. Redick brought Alexia to every class she taught
Mrs. Bartlett has studied under some of the greats herself, including Rudolph Kharatian, Madame Vinogradova, and Madame Kolpakova, and she was fortunate enough to be the little sister of two extraordinary male dancers who themselves studied under great ballet masters. She has performed at the Kennedy Center and with Ballet Paradiso She earned her bachelor's degree in Business Management from Sweet Briar College.
Mrs. Bartlett is full of energy and thrives in a room full of children.

SYNOPSIS
ACT I, SCENE I
We start our scene in a charming garden patch, where all its citizens have personalities Our garden patch is full of peasants who have been struggling under the realm of King Lemon and his court Here we meet Chipolina, our heroine, with her best friend Radish and their families We also meet Uncle Pumpkin, who is the beloved but forgotten old vegetable who has worked his whole life for the former Countess Cherry. Upon her death he was bestowed a little plot of land on which he can build a house of his very own Unfortunately, he is a little short on building supplies The carpenter says he will help build the house if Pumpkin gets the supplies Radish and Chipolina go and find two more bricks and now he has four Horns trumpet to announce that the garden has the privilege of hosting the sour King Lemon and his court for a visit The garden citizens protest the king's unjust and unfair leadership policies. His guards and court fight with the peasants. Chipolina asks for patience and mercy from everyone--peasants, citizens, and the royals Chipolina accidentally steps on the king's foot Chipolina flees, and when the King is looking for someone to blame, her grandmother says that she herself is the culprit, and she is taken away to the dungeon Chipolina cries in disappear, and we meet Professor Pear, who explains how unfair their society is
ACT I, SCENE II
Ever the optimist, Radish decides that she and Chipolina should go to the court of the little Countess Cherry to ask the countess to intervene on their behalf The king finds this very offensive and chases of them out of the court in a hilarious chase scene
ACT I, SCENE III
Safely back to the garden at dusk, Chipolina and Radish help Uncle Pumpkin build his house. During the celebration, the court checks up on Chipolina and Radish The Grand Visor, Count Tomato sees Uncles Pumpkin's house and is livid that Uncle Pumpkin would dare build a house on the countess' land without permission and calls the count a thief The count gets so mad that he throws the bricks in the neighboring ocean Being very helpful and adventurous vegetables, they jump in the sea to find Uncle Pumpkin's bricks
ACT II
In the deep, blue sea, the bricks fall into the land of Poisson's kingdom Chipolina and Radish swim down after the bricks and arrive in the underwater court of the benevolent King Neptune, where happy underwater creatures dance for them Chipolina and Radish delight in the joyous kingdom, and helping them in search of the missing bricks are magical new friends including Frescos, Oysters, Pearls, Jellyfish, Minnows, Neptune, and Poisson At the end of the beautiful dance
town gathers to a good, old fashioned
