What is the purpose of the Provider Directory?

The Provider Directory enables users to conduct an informational search and view of CT healthcare providers. This includes practice locations, phone numbers, emails, specialties, hospital affiliations, and other relevant information to assist in patient care.

As an emergency department clinician, I often need to contact a patient's primary care provider. Looking up provider profile information in the Provider Directory helps me confirm that we’re coordinating with the right provider and can contact their office.

As a referral manager, the distance search feature is a great tool for me to help patients that need a provider close to their home location.

When referring patients to a specialist, as a MSSP Care Coordinator it is helpful to quickly find out whether a provider accepts Medicare.
