A LIVING CULTURE OF INNOVATION

A LIVING CULTURE OF INNOVATION
Macquarie Park is Australia’s original innovation district – first conceived in the 1960s as a purpose-built precinct where business and industry would cluster around research.
Our DNA is rooted in the decades of world-changing ideas developed here. And just like the national park that surrounds us, we’re constantly growing.
Today, Macquarie Park is a place where business, talent and new ideas thrive together:
· $9.5bn in economic output generated here each year
· Home to a highly educated talent pool of 72,000 employees
· Home to Johnson & Johnson, Optus, Abbott, Memjet etc.
· A mature innovation ecosystem, with two startup incubators
· $8.3bn investment in Metro, and $5bn+ investment in campus and workplaces of the future
In 2022 the NSW Government adopted a new 20-year plan to create 20,000 new jobs and more than 7,000 new homes here.
With widespread urban regeneration leading to more students, more residents and more employees, Macquarie Park is on the move.
Industry clusters in Macquarie Park include:
· Telecommunications
