This series channels childhood nostalgia of our memories through the lens of modern society. These tactile, three-dimensional mixed-media installations attempt to reconstruct the fairytale vision of our youth in an entirely new framework. Rebuilt in surreal yet whimsical threads upon a textural foundation, each piece has a unique yarn to spin; doing so by intricately weaving organic elements of nature. Feathers, flowers or straw become sleek, haunting illustrations of animals, and objects and people that feel otherworldly yet familiar, acting as a storybook vignette.
