Acetaia Giusti

Claudio Stefani is the CEO of Acetaia Giusti. He is a management engineer and after eight years at Accenture as Business Consultant, he joined the family business, Acetaia Giusti, in 2005, with the task of taking over its management and relaunching it.

In the 2005-2021 period, he reacquired the majority stake through an LBO transaction, became a Director of the Consorzio Produttori Aceto Balsamico di Modena IGP (Consortium of Balsamic Vinegar Producers of Modena PGI), and took Acetaia Giusti from € 1.5Mln with 6 employees to € 11 Mln with 60 employees, with 70% of its turnover developed abroad in 60 countries, including 4 commercial branches (USA, Germany, Hong Kong, Seoul), 3 flagship stores (Milan, Bologna, Modena) and a company museum visited by more than 30,000 people a year. From 1st June 2022 he is Chairman of the Agri-food supply chain of Confindustria Emilia for the four-year period 2022-2026. 243 industries

Chairman

Basell Poliolefine Italia Srl

Claudio Mingozzi is R&D Business Finance & ADM Manager of Basell Poliolefine Italia. Graduated in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bologna, he boasts more than thirty years of experience in the chemical sector of the production and development of polyolefins having held, within Basell Poliolefine Italia, various roles of responsibility, such as Engineering and Maintenance, Logistics and Supply Chain. He currently works at the Management of the Giulio Natta Research Centre within the Basell plant in Ferrara, where he holds the role of Financial Manager, contributing to the definition and approval of the budgets of the Group’s research programmes. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of Basell Poliolefine Italia, acting as a Councillor, and Deputy Chairman of Unindustria Ferrara. From 1st June 2022 he is Chairman of the Chemical and Pharmaceutical supply chain of Confindustria Emilia for the four-year period 2022-2026.

CONSTRUCTION & INFRASTRUCTURE

Francesco Montanari, born in Bologna in 1958, graduated in Architecture. He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the consortium company BGP 2, which handles extraordinary maintenance works and the planned project improvements outlined in the contract for the “multi-year service for the management of technological systems, maintenance of building structures, air conditioning, and energy for properties used for educational activities, judicial offices, museums, libraries, and other cityowned properties of importance belonging to the Municipality of Bologna.From 15th July 2024 he is Chairman of the Construction and Infrastructure supply chain of Confindustria Emilia for the period 2025-2026.

ELECTRONICS & MECHATRONICS

Nimax Spa

Nicola Montanari, born in Bologna in 1969, is the President and CEO of Nimax. With a degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Bologna, he worked at SAMP from 1997 to 1999 and at SAMP USA from 1999 to 2001, when he became General Manager of Dimac Srl (Cefla Group). Since 2002, he has been with Nimax, where he was Unit Manager until 2009 when he was appointed Managing Director. Since 2019, he has been President and CEO. He was a member of the board of directors in Unindustria Bologna (from 2010 to 2019), president of the Instrument Mechanics - Metalworking sector (from 2014 to 2017) and vice-president of the Instrument Mechanics - Metalworking sector (2010-2014). From 2008 to 2011, he was head of association marketing in the national commission for internal relations in the National Group of Young Entrepreneurs of Confindustria and member of the board of directors of the Young Entrepreneurs Group of Unindustria Bologna. From 1st June 2022 he is Chairman of the Electronics and Mechatronics supply chain of Confindustria Emilia for the four-year period 20222026.

FACILITIES

Cristian Fabbri, born in Forlì in 1970, is the Central Market Director of the Gruppo Hera. Graduated in Electrical Engineering, he obtained the Medea Master’s Degree in Energy and Environmental Management. From 1997 to 1998 he worked for the gruppo Eni as Assistant to the Project Manager; subsequently in Enel, from 1998 to 2001, he gained diversified experiences both in planning, control and budgeting and in organisational and operational management. From 2001 to 2005 he joined Bain Company, as Manager, and in 2005 he joined the Gruppo Hera as Strategic Planning Manager. Since 2006, first as General Manager and then as Chief Executive Officer, he is responsible for Hera Comm, commercial company of the Gruppo Hera, while since 2014 he is Central Market Manager of the Gruppo Hera. From 1st June 2022 he is Chairman of the Facilities supply chain of Confindustria Emilia for the four-year period 2022-2026.

Alessandro Varisco

Twinset Spa

Alessandro Varisco is CEO of Twinset. After graduating in Business Administration at the Cattolica University in Milan, he started his professional activity in 1993 in Pagine Utili as Key Account Manager for the north-west region of Italy. In 1996, he became part of GFT group as Key Account Manager for the north-west region of Italy and, afterwards, he was appointed Area Manager for Valentino in Italy. In 1999, he was promoted to Sales Manager for Valentino in Italy. Between 2000 and 2004, he started working for Versace as Commercial Development Manager for Italy and Europe, then became the Commercial Director of Versace Classic and Commercial Development Manager for Europe for the Gianni Versace brand. Between 2004 and 2008, he was the Commercial Director for all brand lines at Gianfranco Ferrè. In 2008, he became part of Roberta di Camerino - newly-acquired by the Sixty group - as General Manager with the objective of repositioning the company within the luxury leather goods segment. Between 2009 and 2015, he was the General Manager of Moschino, brand belonging to the AEFFFE group. In July 2015, he was appointed CEO of TWIN-SET by the Private Equity fund The Carlyle Group that owns the brand. From 1st June 2022 he is Chairman of the Fashion and Luxury supply chain of Confindustria Emilia for the four-year period 2022-2026.

HEALTH

Sterigenics

Degree in Electronic Engineering - Specialisation in Bioengineering, he is General Manager and Managing Director of Sterigenics Italy S.p.A. He joined the company in 2015, after the acquisition, and managed the integration of the site into the multinational company, coordinating all areas of integration: quality, safety and environment, process development and validation, IT system. The company’s growth in terms of both marginality and turnover led to the achievement of the award as “Best Small Company” of Emilia-Romagna in 2018. Since 15 November 2023, he is President of the Health supply chain of Confindustria Emilia for the three-year period 20232026.

Paolo Castelli

Paolo Castelli Spa

Paolo Castelli, born in Bologna in 1966, is the CEO of Paolo Castelli. Graduated in Political Science with a political-economic orientation from the University of Bologna, he started working in the family business, which was called Modular then, as soon as he finished his studies, managing and developing the company since 1994. In 2010 he purchased the company’s shares from the family and in 2011 he founded Paolo Castelli, General Contractor in the sector of large supplies and in the production of custom furniture. Effective Partner of the Leonardo Committee, in 2016 he was appointed third external member of the Board of Directors of the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna. From 1st June 2022 he is Chairman of the Home supply chain of Confindustria Emilia for the four-year period 2022-2026.

INDUSTRIAL VEHICLES

Chairman Leonardo Salcerini, born in Città di Castello (PG) in 1959, became the CEO of Toyota Material Handling Italia in 2010 and a member of the Steering Committee South Europe of Toyota Material Handling Europe in 2014. He holds a degree in Law from the University of Florence and also completed a Masters Degree in Management at the Bocconi University in Milan. Between 1987 and 1990, he worked at Ford Italia in Rome and, between 1990 and 1994, he was the Sales Manager at Pineider (Gucci Group). Between 1994 and 1996, he was the General Manager at Rimor Duerre, a company manufacturing and commercialising caravans and campers and, between 1996 and 2010, he was the CEO of BT Cesab (a company producing and commercialising forklift trucks) and member of the Board of Directors of BT Spain. Between 2010 and 2014, he was a member of the Board of Directors of Toyota Material Handling Spain. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Faac Group and ABIE (Confindustria’s Foreign Investor Board of Directors). He wrote “Il successo Continuo - L’eccellenza di Toyota dalla Via Emilia all’Europa” (Continued success - Toyota’s excellence from Via Emilia to EuropeHoepli) and, in 2019, he won the “Leadership Award” of Group Toyota Material Handling Europe. From 1st June 2022 he is Chairman of the Industrial vehicles supply chain of Confindustria Emilia for the period 2022-2026.

Metalcastello Spa Chairman

Stefano Scutigliani, born in Bologna in 1963, is the CEO of Metalcastello. Graduated with honours in Economics from the University of Bologna, he is enrolled in both the Register of Chartered Accountants and in that of Official Statutory Auditors. Between 1988 and 1995 he worked as Manager at the PricewaterhouseCoopers Auditing Company and then joined the Gruppo Caterpillar where he held various positions, including international ones, such as Managing Director, CFO, Strategy Director and M&A. Since January 2015 he has held the dual role of CEO of Metalcastello and Director of CIE Automotive Gears Division, business unit of the Spanish multinational group CIE Automotive. From 1st June 2022 he is Chairman of the Machinery supply chain of Confindustria Emilia for the four-year period 2022-2026.

Since 2011, Roberto Tunioli, born in Bologna in 1958, has been the President, CEO and main shareholder of Fervi Spa, an industrial holding company active in the world of professional and semi-professional tools in the field of hardware and tools.

Since 2018, FERVI Spa has been listed on the Euronext market managed by Borsa Italiana. Among his numerous awards are: “Entrepreneur of the Year 2006” (10th ed.It. Ernst & Young) and “ID People Awards 2007” - worldwide recognition in the field of Automatic Identification. From 1st June 2022 he is joint Managing Director of the Metals and Composite Materials supply chain of Confindustria Emilia for the period 2022-2025.From 6th February 2025 he is Chairman of the Metals and Composite Materials supply chain of Confindustria Emilia for the period 2025-2026.

Marco Checchi

Pelliconi Spa

Marco Checchi, born in Bologna in 1959, is the CEO of Pelliconi & C. Spa. After graduating in Foreign Languages and Literature at the University of Bologna, he worked at Banca Popolare dell’Emilia between 1979 and 1984, where he became Deputy-Manager of the branch. In 1984, he joined Pelliconi, a family business specializing in the production of bottle caps, for a period of training within the sales department and then, over the years, came to occupy the positions of Sales Manager, Head of Purchasing and General Manager until he was appointed CEO in 1991. In 2013, he obtained a second degree in Business Anthropology at the University of Bologna and, in September 2020, he became Regency Advisor for the Bologna branch of Bank of Italy (Banca d’Italia). A member of “Council for the USA and Italy” and the Ambrosetti Club, he is on the Board of Directors of ANFIMA (Associazione Italiana Imballaggi Metallici). From 1st June 2022 he is Charmain of the Packaging supply chain of Confindustria Emilia for the period 2022-2026. 110 industries

Vetroresina Spa

Simone Colombarini, born in Masi Torello (FE) in 1971, is the Sole Administrator of Vetroresina.

Graduated with honours in Materials Engineering from the University of Ferrara, in 1997 he joined the family business founded by his father Francesco, of which he became Sole Administrator in 2001. The company, which is now led by his son Simone, is specialised in the production of laminates in polyester resin reinforced with fibreglass. In 2013 the Colombarini family acquired Spal, the historical football team of Ferrara. From 1st June 2022 he is Chairman of the Plastics supply chain of Confindustria Emilia for the four-year period 2022-2026.

POWER

Claudio Fiorentini, born in Gallarate (VA) in 1964, is Head of the Associations and Stakeholders for Enel Italia. Graduated in Economics and Commerce from the Catholic University of Milan, after his first work experiences in the field of procurement, in 1991 he joined the Gruppo Enel as Head of the Communication and Press Dept. for Lombardy, dealing with important image and quotation projects on the stock exchange of Enel Spa. After an international period as Enelpower’s Communication Director, in 2009 he was appointed Manager for Enel’s external and institutional relations in northern Italy. From 1st June 2012 he is Chairman of the Power supply chain of Confindustria Emilia for the four-year period 2022-2026.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

Since 2005, Simone Mangini has been a partner of Studio Torta in Bologna, specialising in Industrial Property consultancy, particularly in the field of chemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnological and mechanical patents. Graduated in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Bologna in 1998, he attended study courses and postgraduate masters abroad in intellectual property. In 2004, he obtained his professional qualification as a European Patent Attorney. He is particularly experienced in international patent and administrative invalidation proceedings (in particular opposition proceedings before the EPO, invalidity proceedings before the Chinese Patent Office, re-examination proceedings before the US Patent Office - USPTO) and author of several scientific and educational articles. From 1st June 2022 he is Chairman of the Professional services supply chain of Confindustria Emilia for the four-year period 2022-2026.
