LIBERTAS

As you drive up to our school, the main entrance is flanked by a pair of absolutely stunning trees During the spring and early summer, they are a brilliant green, but right now they are practically aflame with red and orange hues. If you are lucky enough to drive onto campus right at sunset, the pink and purple streaks of the sky, forming the color soaked backdrop to these beautiful trees, will take your breath away.
Elsewhere on campus, there are cheerful daffodils that spring up just in time to catch the slight hint of warmth that indicates winter is disappearing Even in our student garden, depending on the time of year, you may find lush green leaves of lettuce, or the bright purple of lavender flourishing in the greenhouse boxes each grade level is assigned. All across our campus, the unique beauty of each season comes and goes.
With all of this change, however, it is delightful to educate our children in the time-honored tradition of classical, Christian education. We know that students thrive when steeped in the writings of Socrates, Shakespeare, and Spurgeon We know that students flourish
when they are served the feast passed down through the ages We know that students succeed when given an education built on the grammar, dialectic, and rhetoric stages of learning.
Our students grow and change, yet their education is solid and dependable. Most of all, their education is centered on the unchanging Word of God. In a changing world, focusing our students on the truth, beauty, and goodness of the Lord is reassuring indeed
With gratitude, Holly Kalton

Also, we'd love for you to join us for our Annual Gala! Details below.
Our Advanced Biology Class for students 9th 11th grade focuses on Anatomy and Physiology. This year, we are offering three different periods of this class, where students can meet in small groups with their teacher, Mrs Glaser, for in depth study and discussion.
In Anatomy and Physiology, students study body systems, organs, muscles, bones, tissue types, nerves, organ systems, immune system, cells, and more. Our student scientists are required to keep a detailed science journal, where they sketch and label body systems and more. Following the scientific method, our students participate in a weekly lab experiment to discover more and test the week’s hypothesis.
As a classical school dedicated to academic scholarship and scientific inquiry, we hold
an annual Science Fair and Expo in the Spring. Each Anatomy and Physiology student enters a project, where they are judged on the quality of their research and thought. The execution of their experiment or demonstration of a scientific principle is graded and presented to a team of judges and their peers.
Our Advanced Biology students have learned so much already this year. As students in the dialectic and rhetoric stages of learning, they are wrestling with difficult scientific concepts and testing new hypotheses We are proud of these students and their diligent work in these classes.
