STUDENT DRESS CODE STUDENT DRESS CODE
Our dress code has been put in place to assure that when at school we are encouraging students in modesty and professionalism. While in class, we want to promote an atmosphere of safety, diligence, and respect.
The following clothing is appropriate:
Boys
Non-ripped jeans, slacks, cargo pants
Non-athletic shorts, cargo shorts, nonfrayed shorts
Collared shirts including polo, button down, flannel, plain or patterned t-shirts (plain or nicely patterned shirts are acceptable), hoodies, etc
Shirts, t-shirts or hoodies with wholesome logos or writing are permissible (think about Philippians 4:8).
Firm Foundations Academy t-shirt to be worn on field trips (see link below)
Firm Foundations attire
Girls
Non-ripped jeans, slacks, cargo pants
Shorts which extend below the student’s finger tips. These include nonfrayed jean shorts, non-athletic shorts
Skirts worn to the knee
Blouses, sweaters, hoodies, collared shirts, t-shirts that are plain or patterned shirts
Shirts, t-shirts or hoodies with wholesome logos or writing are permissible (think about Philippians 4:8).

Firm Foundations attire
The following will not be permitted:
Spaghetti strap tank tops or off the shoulder tops
Tops with immodest necklines
Extremely baggy pants
Leggings (except under appropriate length skirts)
Ripped pants or tops
Sweatpants or gym pants
High heels or shoes with roller skates
Hats
T-shirts with unwholesome graphics, writing, or logos
Unnaturally colored hair ie. hot pink, purple, blue, etc.
Any dress-up or costume attire
Students who do not adhere to the dress code will be asked to have their parents bring appropriate clothing to the Academy. If a student has repeated offenses, we will require a meeting with parents to review the student dress code and discuss noncompliance. If there are further incidents following the meeting, parents will be asked to bring students home for the day.
