

Our Philosophy
Ourdevelopmentofauniformpolicyisdrivenbyadesiretocreateandpromotean environmentoflearningwheredressisnotadistractiontotheeducationalprocess.The motivationforthepolicyhasgrownoutofthefollowingprinciples:
1.OurgoalistohonorGodinallwedo,acknowledgingtheLordshipofJesusChristin ourchoices.
2.Allhumanactions,includingoutwardmanifestationssuchasclothing,revealand communicatethedispositionoftheheartatsomelevel.Itisourdesiretoaddress theseheartissuesinoneuniformpolicyratherthanseekingtoanticipateandcurbthe numerousmanifestationsofitthatsurfacethroughouttheyearwithalooserdress code.
3.Clothingrepresentsthevocationalcallingofaperson,andinherentintheuniform policyisadesiretocreateanenvironmentwhereundueattentionisnotdrawnto specificstudents.Theneatappearancecreatedbyauniformenhancesaready-tolearnatmosphere.
4.Uniformshelpengenderacohesivepresentationofthestudentsinourschool.When ourstudentsareinuniformitcommunicates,aesthetically,thattheyarepartofthe sameteam,workingtowardthesamegoals.Thestudentispartofagroupidentity thatstrivesforexcellence,andthecodeestablishesatraditiontowardthatend.
5.Theuniformcodeshouldsaveparentsmoney.Theuniformcodede-emphasizesthe socialimpactofdressandhelpsfocusthestudentsoncharacterandacademicissues.
6.Theuniformcodeaddressessecurity.Ontheplaygroundorintheschool,teachers andstaffcanclearlyidentifystudentsfromoutsiders.
Studentsareexpectedtobeinuniformwhileoncampusunlessspecifiedotherwisebythe administration.Theadministrationisresponsiblefortheinterpretationofthepolicy,and theenforcementofthepolicyistheresponsibilityofparents,administration,faculty,and staff.

3.Mydaughterhasaprettycamisolethatshewearsunderherblouseformodesty purposes.Shoulditbetuckedin? Yes, it should Camisoles and undershirts are considered undergarments and they must be out of sight.
4.Isitpermissibletowearasweaterwithoutablouse,oxford,orpolounderneath? No, it isn’t.
Bottoms:
1.Whatkindsofleggingsareacceptable? Stockings, tights, and nylons are fine. Stockings, tights, and nylons must be conservative, plain, and solid colored (white, navy, black, or neutral)
2.Areyogapantsorrunningtightsanacceptablesubstituteforstockings? No, they are not.
3.Whatkindofsockscanmystudentwear? Socks must be conservative, plain, and solid colored. Preferably navy, khaki, white, or neutral and coordinated with the student’s clothing. There should not be any no-show socks.

Accessories&Miscellaneous:
1.HowdoIknowhowtightistootightformydaughter’sblouses,sweaters,andskirt? If it looks like she has been poured into them, then they are too tight. It is the duty of the girls, as Christian sisters, to dress modestly wherever they go. If a shirt or pants are pulled tight against her front or back, it’s too tight
2.Areelementarystudentsallowedtowearathleticshoes? Elementary students may wear conservative athletic shoes or dress shoes (for starters, conservative means no light-up shoes).
3.Howlongmustmyson’shairbetoqualifyaslonghair? If a young man’s hair is below the middle of his collar, hanging down in his face, covering the sides of his ears, or in a bun it will be considered too long.
4.Whatkindofjewelryisappropriateformydaughter? Small earrings on the lobe are fine Earrings up around the top of the ear or anywhere else are inappropriate
5.IsitOKforgirlstowearcoloredhairaccessories? As long as they match the outfit, they are fine.
6.Mysonlikestowearanecklacetoclass.IsthatOK? As long as it is not visible, that is fine.
7.Mysonlikestowearoranget-shirtsunderhisuniformshirt.IsthatOK? T-shirts and camisoles must be white.
8.Mydaughterlikestowearmoccasinsandmysonlikestowearhikingbootstoclass. Dothesequalifyasdressshoes? No, they don’t, but students may wear appropriate and conservative boots to class, with pants, during the winter months.

12.Canmystudentwearanovercoatoncolddays? Yes, overcoats may be worn outside but not inside. Outerwear worn inside must adhere to the dress code outlined in the above chart.
