Article I – Name and Purpose
Section 1. Name
The name of the organization is [School Name] Classical Christian School, hereafter referred to as "the School."
Section 2. Purpose
The School exists to partner with Christian families in the education and discipleship of children through a classical curriculum grounded in a biblical worldview, with Christ as the center of all learning
Article II – Statement of Faith
The School upholds a Statement of Faith consistent with historic Christian orthodoxy and affirms the authority of Scripture in all matters of life and doctrine. All board members, faculty, and staff must annually affirm this Statement in writing
Article III – Governance
Section 1. Board of Directors
The governing body of the School shall be a Board of Directors, responsible for establishing policies, strategic direction, financial oversight, and the appointment and evaluation of the Head of School
Section 2. Number and Term
The Board shall consist of no fewer than 5 and no more than 9 members Board members shall serve staggered terms of 3 years, renewable once before a one-year sabbatical is required.
Section 3. Qualifications Board members must:
● Profess faith in Jesus Christ,
● Be active members of a local church,
● Support the classical Christian model of education,
● Affirm the Statement of Faith and Mission of the School.
Article IV – Officers
Section 1. Officers and Duties
The officers of the Board shall include:
● Chair – Presides at meetings, provides spiritual and strategic leadership
● Vice Chair – Assists and presides in absence of Chair.
● Secretary – Keeps minutes and maintains records.
● Treasurer – Oversees financial matters and reporting
Section 2. Election
Officers are elected by the Board annually by majority vote
Article V – Meetings
Section 1. Regular Meetings
The Board shall meet at least four times per year A majority of current Board members constitutes a quorum
Section 2. Special Meetings
Special meetings may be called by the Chair or a majority of Board members, with reasonable notice.
Section 3. Voting
Decisions require a majority vote of members present unless otherwise specified.
