Classicalschoolsdividetheeducationallifeofachild intothreephases(grammar,logic,andrhetoric)knownastheTrivium,whichtakesadvantageofa student’snaturalcapacityforcertaintypesoflearning

world.ChristianeducationiswherestudentsareformedintheinstructionoftheLord(alsocalled paideia1)
Inthis,Classicaleducationseeksto“cutwiththe grain”oflearningdevelopment.Classicaleducationfocusesonhowtothinkandlearnwithan emphasisonvirtueandwisdom.Itispreciselythiskindofeducationthathasproducedcountless leaders,inventors,artists,andtheologiansthroughouthistory.
“Classical”referstoalongtraditionofeducationthatemphasizestheseekingafteroftruth,goodness, andbeauty.ThisisprimarilydonethroughthestudyoftheLiberalArtsandthe"Greatbooks"of Westerncivilizationthathaveshapedourmodernsociety.
