A STUDENTS’ UNIVERSITY Where Belonging is Paramount and Connections Endure. Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) is a university of action and passion, small enough that every student is essential but large enough to make real differences when we tackle global challenges. At CUE, we can sit at the back. But when we’re ready, someone will invite us to the front. Because of our size, our closeness and connection, we blend and mix in surprising – sometimes delightful – ways. If we’re scientists, we can follow our curiosity into drama. A business student can graduate with a foundation in history, philosophy, and Indigenous knowledge. We can test our ideas with people from every department and course of study, from around the world. We can change directions and find our path. We can be our best selves. Our ultimate goal has not changed since 1921: to be more than students and professors, to create a community of active citizens, to inspire good and honourable people who have found a university where they belong. If your path leads to CUE, we will be here for you every step of the way.

Concordia University of Edmonton is located on territory of the Treaty No. 6 Nations and the homeland of the Métis Nation (Region IV), and respects the histories, languages, and cultures of Indigenous peoples of Canada, whose presence continues to enrich our vibrant community. Historically, the lands which CUE occupies were utilized as a trading and gathering place, and our campus is one of the original Métis river lots in Edmonton.

BORN TO BE

Concordia University of Edmonton was

Different. We are more than an academic institution - we are a community of scholars, dreamers, and doers; people who aren’t afraid to lend a hand, to ask questions, to be bold, to make a difference. SHANNON ROSS Bachelor of Science Graduate, 2022 “As someone who started university as quite shy, getting involved in the CUE community helped me come out of my shell and contributed to me leaving as a more confident, outgoing individual.”

COLE BABCOCK

Bachelor of Science (Current Student) “I’ve already been able to connect with a large variety of researchers, which, being an undergrad student, is something I never thought I’d have the opportunity to do. Doing my own research and things like grant writing is often saved for PhD grad students or postdoctoral fellows, whereas I’ve already experienced all those things here.” 14

MITCHELL MOORE Bachelor of Arts (Current Student) “As soon as I walked onto campus, I felt … comfort. Friendliness. It seemed like an empathetic place. Then when I started classes, professors were happy to make accommodations. Even more than that, I found them inspiring.”

ALESHA WORTHMANN Bachelor of Arts Graduate, 2023 Bachelor of Education After Degree (Current Student)

RUBREET DHILLON Bachelor of Arts Graduate, 2023 “I was an international student, in a new country, trying to push through this huge adjustment. I failed my first major course in my first year. But I persevered, I found my home at CUE and I learned that it has always been within me.”

ADRIANA BENITEZ-ZELADA Bachelor of Arts Graduate, 2022 Bachelor of Education After Degree (Current Student) “Someone always has your back in the classroom. If you’re struggling with something, it’s much easier to ask a question in a classroom of 30 students, than in an auditorium of 100 students, like the larger universities.”

Arts and Science applicants must show an overall average of 65% in their Grade 11 courses and Management and Dual Degrees applicants must show an overall average of 72%. Final admission is dependent on students completing their relevant Grade 12 courses and achieving minimum entrance averages for the program they have applied. ACCEPTANCE OF AP/IB COURSES We recognize students who complete their Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) courses and exams. Students who receive a grade of 4 or 5 on the AP exams and 5 or higher on IB exams may be assessed for transfer credit toward courses at CUE. Refer to the current online Academic Calendar for a full listing of eligible AP and IB courses.
