Welcome Back from MSSG

On behalf of the MSSG, we welcome everyone back to school! We’re excited to start off another great school year together, we hope you have fun this year. The Middle School Student Government (MSSG) is here to represent you and your grade level, plan events, and help make our school a better place for you. We’ll work to build a community where the student body feels heard.

In the past year, many fundraisers and events have been done by the MSSG. We try our best to help the student body have a more enjoyable experience through events such as the Valentines Dance where students get to enjoy a variety of activities with their friends. MSSG has also made multiple fundraisers, such as the dunk tank during festival of love where both teachers and students took part in. We also incorporated sports through the house competitions where students got to take part in sport activities that were voted on. We hope that the student body has enjoyed the last year and we hope to make the following year even better.

As a whole new team with new people coming from the PYP, we are very eager to start a whole new year! This year, our MSSG team aims to enhance communication between students and teachers for a better community with exciting events planned by us, and to ensure every voice is heard. This year we look forward to welcoming the G6 students and developing fresh ideas from a new team that is very excited to serve the MS student body.

Sincerely,

Welcome Back from HSSG

As the high school student government, our primary duty is to serve the student body by advocating for the interests and well being of students. This year, we have planned a multitude of events for you to enjoy, including but not limited to the Secondary School Talent Show, House Competitions, and Spirit Weeks. One major change being implemented this school year is in relation to houses. A larger emphasis will be placed on houses, as high school students are being split into different homerooms based on house colour. Furthermore, house shirts will be worn every Wednesday. Our favourite aspect of this is the splitting of house competitions; during house competitions, students may choose to participate in either a sport or academic event. Stay tuned!

We believe that these changes will help foster a larger sense of community within the school, uniting students and keeping school spirit high at the same time.

Feel free to approach any of the HSSG representatives if you have ideas that can bring positive change to the high school. Let’s improve our school together, one step at a time.

Best regards,

The HSSG 2025/26
