The Cock Inn — Build
Brief To refurbish the rundown village pub which had severe interior and exterior wear, boardedup windows and asbestos present, all things which are expected from a building of this age. Our client also wanted a kitchen installing, groundworks to the carpark and landscaping of the garden. Result The Cock Inn at Werrington is now a family, friendly village pub offering a relaxed dining experience with plenty of food and amazing drinks to choose from. The garden is a revenue boosting sun-trap and thanks to the groundworks the car park is safe and usable. The unexpected amount of asbestos that was uncovered caused disruption to the project timeline but with careful planning the refurbishment was completed on time and on budget.

Boat & Horses — Design & Build /Furnishings
Brief When the internal refurbishment of The Boat & Horses bar and lounge areas took place, the pub was to remain partially open, trading in the 145 sq meter function room. The lessees also lived on site, so access and security were key. The renewal of the pub needed to focus on creating more seating, refreshing the dĂŠcor and lessees living quarters and improving the back-bar fittings and servery. Result The end product ticked all of the boxes for our client and allowed them to remain open for trade throughout the renovation. We maintained its authentic home-from-home character but modernised its look making it more capable of managing increased custom. The newly built high-curved seating booths created the perfect area to seat private gatherings or large groups.

The Masons Arms — Build
Brief Our client scheduled the maintenance of this site just before the start of summer. We were briefed to give the pub a fresh and modern look by refurbishing the bar, trade area and updating their furniture. The garden was tired and uninviting and required some TLC to make it a revenue boosting botanical terrace. Result Starting on the trade areas of this cosy family pub, we built new fixed seating booths and updated the furniture, flooring and lighting. We rebuilt the back-bar fitting which now boasts a brightly lit display that is clearly visible to customers. In the garden we built a new stone patio with plenty of outdoor seating and cosy heated sheds that can be used year-round, we styled the garden with beautiful flowers and large planters.

The Dundas Arms — Design & Build / Furnishings
Brief Cirrus Inns briefed us to carefully update the informal bar, two-level restaurant, garden and bedrooms of The Dundas Arms all within a 2-month period. The side terrace and beer garden needed to be more inviting and due to its vast size, we also needed to fit an external bar. Getting the right pub/restaurant balance was imperative, we had to create a space that allowed more control over client circulation. Result The Dundas arms is now a lovely country pub with a relaxed bar, colourful restaurant, a stunning waterside garden and comfortable bedrooms. The internal areas were better defined with bespoke furnishings such as high and low seating and the entrance lobby was extended to allow for more space for customers to initially gather. We completed the works within the allocated time frame without compromising on build quality.
