Receive Up To £10,000 Incentive For Installing Renewables* If you’re a homeowner or residential landlord, you can apply for a Green Homes Grant voucher towards the cost of installing energy efficient improvements to your home. Improvements could include insulating your home to reduce your energy use or installing low-carbon heating to lower the amount of carbon dioxide your home produces. You must redeem the voucher and ensure improvements are completed by 31 March 2022. *Source: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-the-green-homes-grant-scheme See page 6 for Commercial Renewable Energy Installation Funding Options.

Why work with Concorde BGW Group? We are driving renewable energy transformation; we want to save you money and help you make the positive changes that are better for the environment. Our experienced project managers will work with you to look after your project from inception to completion, covering all aspects of your renewable energy solution installation. This means quality service and installation comes as standard. Renewables are becoming more affordable, and more large venues are investing in green energy sources to help fight the climate crisis. We empower business to generate their own energy and always give fair prices for everyone working with us to install renewables. We’re leading the industry when it comes to encouraging the use of cheaper, greener energy.

What renewable business energy options are available? There are a number of options for renewable energy in business locations, but finding the right one for your business depends on where it’s located and the amount you’re willing to invest. • Solar PV panels -

• Geothermal and ground source heat pumps -

£5,000-£10,000 for small-scale systems. These take six to ten years to pay back.

£11,000 £15,000. These take fifteen years to pay back.

• Solar thermal energy -

• Combined heat and power -

£3,000-£5,000. This takes five years to pay back.

£32,500. This takes 10.5 years to pay back.

• Biomass systems Cost varies depending on boiler size and type of fuel. These take five to 12 years to pay back - shorter if you use waste wood instead of having to wait for tree growth.

Solar Light falling on the solar panels produce electricity. This is fed into the properties electricity system for use within the building or exported to the grid. An average installation costs £5000 for a 4kWp system and produces approximately 3700kWh/year (due South). If the electricity generated is used internally it saves 15-20p for each kWh it replaces. We only install the best quality panels and equipment so that you can have faith that the system will work as expected and, should anything fail within the warranty period, we will replace or repair, without any problem. We would normally specify the likes of Mitsubishi, Sanyo, Schott and SMA Sunnyboy inverters.

Boilers If your boiler is more than 10 years old, it may well not be a condensing model. A condensing boiler has a secondary coil in the exhaust gas so that the Latent Heat of Vaporisation can be recovered.

Gas If your present boiler is SEDBUK band G (around 60% efficient) and you have no controls (Room Thermostat or Cylinder Thermostat) then we can help by adding controls, and TRV’s and along with a 90%+ efficient boiler you could be saving upto 35-45% of the cost of your fuel bills. Advantages • Modulation modes will ensure your boiler does not overshoot the desired temperature of the water.

• Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRVs) will make the system more controllable. • Remove black iron deposits to make the system more efficient and will remove cold spots in radiators.

• Add a main house Thermostat, or Cylinder thermostat to makes sure excess fuel is not being used to heat beyond the required temperatures.

8

Oil As with Gas boilers the seasonal efficiency (SEDBUK) rating can be low, so a change to a 90+% efficient boiler and changes like an S or Y plan fully pumped system can save 35-45% on your property fuel bill.

Biomass Biomass systems generate electricity and heat by burning or fermenting organic material, such as straw or wood pellets, with a combined heat and power plant. Advantages • Pellets or wood chip are a cheaper fuel than either gas or oil. • Modern biomass boilers are as controllable as the present range of oil/gas boilers.

• 7-year repayment called the RHI (Renewable Heat Incentive) designed to repay the owner for moving away from a fossil fuel. • The property will be much nearer to being Carbon Neutral.

Heat Pumps With gas boilers banned In new homes from 2025, that’s 170,000 new homes built each year that will need to rely on a renewable energy source. There are different types of heat pumps available:

Ground Source

Water Source

Geothermal and ground source heat pumps - Use low-level heat naturally contained in the ground to provide both heating and cooling. These are fitted on the side of your building.

Hydroelectric power generates electricity from the water flowing through an immersed turbine or water wheel. These are site-specific but can provide a reliable energy source.

Combined heat and power

Air Source

Use a CHP system to capture the heat produced by your electricity to heat your water.

Air source is probably the most common type of heat pump. The air source system however will be less effective for heating in Modulation modes willtemperature ensure yourcan become winter since the air boiler overshoot the desired verydoes cold.not A back-up heater in the form temperature of the water. of a conventional electric heater is usually included within the heat pump package. Electric Vehicle Charging Points

Grants available for 75% of installation costs.*

We’re pioneering innovations like EV HomeSmart charging, which encourages Electric Vehicle owners to charge up on cheaper, greener energy overnight, drive around all day, and then discharge their batteries after work (in exchange for payment), to help balance the grid. We offer a range of OLEV compliant home and business SMART chargers from Rolec and Myenergi. Both companies design and manufacture their product in Britain and therefore benefit from excellent post sales customer and technical support. The products support Mode 3 charging speeds, Mobile App controlled SMART charging and are available with a range of tethered or untethered lead options. *Source: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/workplace-chargingscheme-guidance-for-applicants-installers-and-manufacturers

Battery Systems We offer home battery systems from Tesla, Enphase (Datasheet) and Powervault. If you have PV installed these batteries can be an ideal upgrade to your PV system, particularly, if you are not getting the FIT. Battery capacity ranges from 3 - 13.5kWh from a number of blue chip and startup manufacturers. Most come with internet management capabilities via apps on phones and PC’s but some can also support grid sharing and maintenance of power during grid outages.

EPC We are an accredited energy assessor and can provide an energy performance certificate for both domestic and commercial properties. In order to produce a commercial EPC, the CEA has to measure each ‘zone’ in the building and also note the activity that takes place there, the heating, ventilation, cooling and lighting systems used. A zone could comprise of many rooms where the same activity takes place and the same building services are used, on the other hand it could be just part of a room, for example,: because a different lighting system is used. Because the amount of work varies according to the number of zones, our rates are not purely based on building size. As part of our EPC calculations a file of recommendations is also produced; these are grouped by estimated payback bands of short term (less than 3 years), medium term (3 to 7 years) and long term (over 7 years). These are specific to each property and include anything from replacing inefficient lights to installing a wind turbine. our rates are not purely based on building size, they are tailored to suit the project specifics.
