Lincoln Student Union Brayford Wharf E, Lincoln Our first project for The University of Lincoln was to transform their rather tired student’s union into a lively, modern destination for the students to meet, play and work. The current space wasn’t being used as effectively as it could have been, so Concorde BGW set to work reconfiguring the space. Bold, geometric prints run through the space creating a 1960s vibe, with retro armchairs and vintage accessories. The bar was completely re-vamped using bright tiling and copper piping, creating a focal point in venue. An upstairs games zone has even more of a relaxed vibe, with pool tables, comfy armchairs and crate-style coffee tables, perfect to pop a drink on. DESIGN | BUILD | FURNISHINGS

The Swan Campus Way, Lincoln Following the successful transformation of The University of Lincoln’s student’s union, we were approached with another brief to attract the younger student market through the doors of The Swan, and to breathe life back into the campus pub. A modern take on a classic pub design, the refreshing scheme brightened up the venue with pops of colour, vintage wallpapers and quirky bric-ā-brac. Exposed vents, metal design and attractive brass finishes has given the bar a contemporary, industrial feel and we finished the design with a combination of educational-themed artwork and 3D pieces. The Sphinx Mount Pleasant, Liverpool
The University of Liverpool was looking to maximise space within popular student hangout, The Sphinx. The concept of the bar was already successful, so Concorde BGW were tasked with reconfiguring the bar area to reduce service times and create a faster customer flow – after all, you can’t keep a student without a drink for too long! The proposed solution was to move the bar forward and extend it, creating more space whilst sympathetically extending the design using reclaimed timber and metro tiling. DESIGN | BUILD | FURNISHINGS
