Beginning Yoga at Home

Everyone can practice yoga! You will gain strength and flexibility and leave your stress behind in this lyengar style class. The benefits are too numerous to list. Bare feet are essential. Bring a sticky mat. No class May 17 and July 26.

Beginning Yoga – Hybrid

Ages: 16 years and up

Everyone can practice yoga! You will gain strength and flexibility and leave your stress behind in this lyengar style class. The benefits are too numerous to list. Bare feet are essential. This class will be hosted as a hybrid session, with the option to join either live virtually via ZOOM or in-person at the Willow Pass Community Center. No class May 15, May 29, and July 24.

Intermediate Yoga – Hybrid

Ages: 16 years and up

Continue to go deeper into your yoga practice in this lyengar style class. The benefits are too numerous to list. This class includes inversions and back bends. Bare feet are essential. This class is a hybrid course taught live via Zoom and simultaneously in-person at the Willow Pass Community Center. Prerequisite: Must have a minimum of one year of yoga practice. No class May 15, May 29, and July 24.

Gentle Yoga at Home

Ages: 18 years and up Yoga can improve health and reduce stress. Poses for strength, flexibility and balance, as well as breathing for stress reduction are incorporated into our time together. Appropriate for those with arthritis/osteoporosis. No class May 25 and July 20.

Chair Yoga at Home

Ages: 18 years and up

Yoga can improve health and reduce stress. Poses for strength, flexibility and balance, as well as breathing for stress reduction are incorporated into our time together. If you want these benefits, but prefer not to get on the floor, this is a great class for you. A chair or a wall is used for balance assist. Appropriate for those with arthritis/ osteoporosis. No class May 25 and July 20.

Unwind with Gentle Yoga & More

Ages: 18 years and up

Reward yourself at the end of the day with a series of poses that promote mind and body relaxation, strengthening, coordination, flexibility and agility. It also aims to promote wellness by lengthening, stretching, bending and breathing exercises that induce a sense of calmness. No class May 29 and August 21.

Life Mastery through Meditation 2

Ages: 16 years and up

Continue your meditation practice and improve your response to life's challenges by understanding their developmental purpose in the Laboratory of Life, rising above the negative impact of the past, interpreting dream/meditation images, and aiming for the stars. You can do this. Pre-requisite: Master Your Life through Meditation 1.

Fit & Low Stretches

Ages: 18 years and up

Are you an older adult who wants a total body workout? With a complete series of seated and standing positions, you will increase flexibility, balance, joint coordination, agility, muscular strength, and cardiovascular endurance. This assists to heal and prevent damage to your joints and reverse pain caused by bad standing and walking postures. End with restorative relaxation breathing exercises to promote stress reduction and mental clarity. No class May 29.

Tai Chi and Qigong

Ages: 18 years and up

Learn and practice Tai Chi and Qigong: gentle movement to improve balance, strengthen the body, quiet the mind and relieve stress. Each class includes: standing meditation, qigong and tai chi movement from the Yang-style long form. Beginners and experienced students welcome.

Engage in a unique set of low impact exercises that strengthens and tones the body’s core muscles, improves posture and flexibility, and creates a more streamline figure. Pilates increases one’s inner strength, complementing almost all physical activities, enhancing overall health, posture, performance and physical appearance. No class May 24, May 31 and July 5.
