Hi everyone. My name is Delaney Natke and I turned 16 just a little while back. I live with my Mom and Dad, 6 brothers and dog, Ted, in a teeny tiny town called North Branch, about 90 miles north of Detroit. Almost done with my junior year at Brown City High School. My family says I was born singing. All I know is that singing has been a part of my soul since my earliest memories. When I would clean with my Mom, we would sing and dance to make the time go easier. Two of my early favorites to sing back then were Super Woman, by Alicia Keys and SoulShine, by The Allman Brothers. Even now, hearing those songs brings a smile to my lips every time.
thru current rock music and are invited to be part of dozens of events all around Michigan. Some of my favorites are the gigs we perform that help other charities, like our most recent outing just a few weeks ago to benefit St. Baldrick’s, who champions to cure children’s’ cancer. Several months ago, I was the runner-up in an acoustic vocal competition at 20 Front Street, the coolest new venue for music, located in Lake Orion. My accompanist for the evening was one of the mentors for GZB, John Salsido, who has been performing for more years than he would want me to comment.
My passion is what I want to pursue for my lifetime. There is absolutely nothing that makes my heart smile more than seeing my songs bring joy to those who are listening. My experience with musical instruments falls on the clarinet, violin, ukulele and piano.
We presented a new arrangement of Oh Darlin’ by the Beatles. Normally, I don’t like to listen to myself on recordings, but this place has acoustics that I am sure rival some of the oldest music halls. Feel free to check it out on the 20 Front Street Facebook page.
