Pools running alongside the arched walkways reflect the mosque's spectacular columns. At night the stunning space is illuminated by a unique lightning system. Striking hues of blue and grey are projected onto the external walls and get brighter and darker according to the phase of the moon. Inside the main prayer hall hangs a spectacular 12-tonne chandelier adorned with Swarovski crystals. The pulpit or menbar, made from carved cedar wood, is where the imam sits to address worshippers in the main prayer hall.
