Executive Summary

The VI Trophy Villa of Mislata is a men's and women's handball competition produced

by ILEspain Balonmano Mislata Club for the categories of under-8, under-11, under-13, under-15 and under-18.

It will be held on 23st-24nd-25th of June 2017, counting with Spanish and the rest of the world teams.

Participating clubs are guaranteed a minimum of 5 matches in 3 intensive days of competition.

An outdoor swimming pool and optional leisure activities exclusive to the teams and their companions in Valencia and its surroundings, a territory full of attractions.

Club officials and coaches can focus on handball and players enjoy the opportunity to meet new opponents in a quality environment to continue learning respect, clean competition and living together.

It is a very healthy and fun season finale celebration for players, coaches and families that helps to better understand the diversity of handball and the world, always making friends.

Evolution & Goals

The trophy started in 2012 organized by the Balonmano Mislata men's club and the Handbol Mislata women's club and continued in 2013, 2014 and 2015, reaching the amount of 1,000 players involved.

In 2016 we reach an agreement to organize the event individually by each club in an alternative way.

The 2017 edition is ILEspain Balonmano Mislata turn, chaired and managed by Mauro Longarini.

From our experience and the quality achieved in previous editions of which we have been responsible, we introduce a new project thanks to the incorporation of Susana Pareja too. She’s Spanish women's handball key reference, new club’s managing board member and manager of the Trophy with Mauro Longarini.

Our goal is reaching the participation number of 1,200 players.

We have the support of experienced University of València professors and students, too.

We believe in internationalization and we’ll count on the presence of all Spanish regions teams and international ones.

Mislata Today

With almost 50,000 inhabitants, Mislata is functionally integrated with Valencia. It’s the most densely populated Spanish town.

Separated from the third city of the country by just one street, it is a multicultural and cosmopolitan municipality that has become UNICEF's Childhood Friendly City.

With a population as hospitable as participatory, Mislata has excelled in the promotion of sports.

Mislata shows a special sensitivity towards handball and the Villa de Mislata Trophy itself.

Provincial and regional public entities and the immediate environment support the event and collaborate in facilitating a quality tourism-sport experience to all the participants and companions.

Families, coaches, managers and undoubtedly players can spend a few happy and healthy competing and enjoying Mislata and Valencia with the several options provided by the organization.

The whole city direct their attention to the clubs and their teams and local facilities.

Dates The Trophy will take place from Friday June 23rd at 9:00 am. Until Sunday 25th of June to the 20 hours.

Thursday, June 22nd - reception and teams arrival.

Friday & Saturday, June 23st & 24th – different groups and categories games.

Facilities of the neighboring municipality Quart de Poblet can be used, accessed with official tournament shuttle buses.

Registration

Sunday, June 25th – Final Tournament games, with closing & awards ceremonies.

Registration cost for all participants - players, coaches, delegates - is €20 per person

Competition places

It includes participation fee, tournament t-shirt, swimming pool entrance, water for games, lunches (3) and snacks (3), organization gifts and refereeing.

Games will take place in the local pavilions La Canaleta and El Quint sports courts in Mislata, belonging to Mislata City Council.

Each club must hold its own medical insurance for all players.

Hospitality

ACCOMMODATION IN FULL BOARD Accomodation in the Municipality Schools, Mislata.

Players must bring sleeping bag and floor mat.

Meals guarantee by La Poma Catering, a regular collaborator of the club.

€75 PER PERSON 6 meals: Friday lunch and dinner, Saturday lunch and dinner, Sunday lunch, Sunday picnic dinner + 3 breakfast (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

MIDDAY LUNCH €20 PER PERSON 3 lunches (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

Hospitality ACOMMODATION The organization will facilitate the teams and their companions information about all budget accomodation at special prices and conditions in the immediate environment.

The stay can include days before and after the event to visit the city of Valencia and its surroundings.

VISITS The organization can connect the teams and their companions with reliable tour operators that can offer special prices and conditions to carry out visits before, during and after the trophy.

General Considerations Competition Method

Referees

Games duration will be: - 2 halfs of 20 minutes for Under 18.

- 2 halfs of 15 minutes for Under 15 and Under 13.

- 2 halfs of 10 minutes for Under 11 and Under 8

Our referees are official referees from the Valencian Region Federation of Handball.

In all categories, depending on the amount of participating teams, groups of 4 or 5 teams will be formed, playing all against everyone.

Each team is expected to play a minimum of five games.

Each team can register a maximum of 18 players.
