Welcome to the 54th National Meeting & Training Conference of the Conference of Minority
COMTO New York Chapter will be our amazing host as we connect transportation agencies, private sector firms, small businesses and practitioners across modes and disciplines in the state of New York. This city is one of the world’s leading transportation hubs with a rich history and best-of-class innovation that is fitting for “the city that never sleeps.”
Our theme is Path to Prosperity: Transportation for Connected, Thriving, and Sustainable Communities. Over an exciting 4-days in the heart of Times Square, we will focus on how innovation, workforce development, and infrastructure investments shape the future of mobility. Attendees will enjoy unique New York experiences and several exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of the city’s finest transportation centers, courtesy of MTA and PANYNJ.
Attendees will learn from leading experts and practitioners on how to effectively expand our leadership and workforce, embrace new technology, and meaningfully engage communities to ensure access and opportunity in projects, policies, and initiatives.
We will discuss this theme in three primary areas:
TECHNOLOGY & INNOVATION
More than just a conference, this is a carefully curated event with exclusive experiences only New York can offer. In fact, the early bird catches the worm in the Big Apple with pre-conference trips to Broadway shows, Bowling in Times Square, or Baseball at Yankee Stadium. On Saturday,
join us for our Welcome Reception as we cruise down the Hudson River where you can soak up the iconic views of the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge. You also have your choice of 10 VIP tours where you can go behindthe-scenes of some of New York’s finest transportation centers, pose for a group picture at the famous Times Square Red Stairs, or take a trip through time on a vintage train car, all courtesy of MTA and Port Authority of NYNJ. There is no doubt you will be edified by this program designed to highlight multi-modal innovation, small businesses, students pursuing careers in transportation and industry excellence during our closing awards Gala.
We look forward to connecting with each one of you as you take advantage of the world class networking opportunities and engage with leadership and industry practitioners from across North America. Thank you for your attendance and support of COMTO as we work together to ensure transportation serves all!
Sincerely,
