A Detail Overview on American Bar Association Opinion 483 Hackers these days are increasingly targeting lawyers & law firms to hack confidential info, including pending business deals, trade secrets, and personal data. These cyber attacks have resulted in a significant increase in data breaches compromising confidential info of clients at firm of all sizes. As per the ABA (American Bar Association) 2017 Legal Technology Survey, nearly 22% of law firms reported data violationat some point of time. Security breaches in law firms weren’t confined to only bigger firms that are expected to have more valuable data. Law firms of all sizes, including solo practitioners have undergone data violations.
