Igor Gorin Memorial Award
The Igor Gorin Memorial Award, established in 1987 by Mary Gorin in memory of her husband, world-renowned opera singer Igor Gorin, is one of the most prestigious awards in the country. Known as the “Prince of Baritones,” Mr. Gorin’s legacy continues through this award, which has provided over $370,000 to support young vocalists.
The 2025 recipient is James McCarthy, who recently completed an Adler Fellowship with San Francisco Opera and holds degrees from Rice University and the University of Rochester.
Though James is unable to attend tonight, he shared:
“Receiving this award allows me to grow as an artist, covering lessons, coaching, equipment, travel, and living expenses. I am incredibly grateful for this support — thank you!”

Bold Aspirations BLOOM Award
The Bold Aspirations BLOOM Award honors individuals, groups, or organizations whose bold goals and innovative actions have created meaningful change in Southern Arizona. Recipients reflect CFSA’s value of Community by challenging boundaries, inspiring growth, and driving extraordinary outcomes.
The 2025 award is presented to the Tucson Credit Unions, a groundbreaking collaboration among six local institutions: Pima Federal, Tucson Federal, Vantage West, Hughes Federal, Pyramid Federal, and Tucson Old Pueblo.
Together, they launched the Tucson Welcome Home Program, addressing the region’s workforce housing crisis by offering 100% financing and removing barriers to homeownership. Their efforts are helping families build long-term stability and fostering prosperity across our community.
Diana Charbonneau
Impactful Philanthropy BLOOM Award
The Impactful Philanthropy BLOOM Award honors individuals whose generosity creates meaningful, measurable, and lasting change in Southern Arizona. These changemakers address root causes, maximize resources, and align their giving with purposeful goals that benefit both people and the environment.
The 2025 recipient is Diana Charbonneau, a native Tucsonan and Corporate Learning Facilitator at Tucson Electric Power. With a heart for service, Diana has volunteered with more than 25 local nonprofits, driven by a deep commitment to reinvesting in her community.
Her journey into volunteerism began as a natural expression of gratitude and giving back. As a mother of a young daughter, Diana leads by example demonstrating the power of leadership and inspiring others to create positive change through active community engagement.

Vital Nonprofit BLOOM Award Youth On Their Own
The Vital Nonprofit BLOOM Award recognizes a Southern Arizona nonprofit making a powerful and lasting impact in building a vibrant, equitable community. Honorees are mission-driven, sustainable organizations that address essential needs, drive social change, and improve quality of life.
The 2025 award is presented to Youth On Their Own (YOTO), a nonprofit supporting youth experiencing homelessness in Pima County. Since 1986, YOTO has empowered students to stay in school, graduate, and pursue brighter futures.
Serving approximately 1,600 youth each year and achieving a 93% senior graduation rate, YOTO exemplifies the vital role nonprofits play in strengthening our community.
