Frances E. LaPointe WESTBOROUGH – Frances Elaine (Parker) LaPointe passed from this life on May 2, 2021. She was the widow of the late Gilbert Ralph LaPointe, who predeceased her in 2019. They were married on Feb. 6, 1960 at the Westboro First Baptist Church, in the town of Westborough. Frances was the daughter of the late Frank W. Parker and Carol I. (McGee) Parker. She was predeceased by her sister, Eleanor Lorraine (Parker) Camacho, in 2018 in Winter Haven, Fla. She is survived by her two sisters, Doris Jennette (Parker) Blais Bonnell, the eldest, and the youngest of four, Carolyn May (Parker) Wood, of Cherry Valley, Worcester. Frances left behind two daughters, Kimberly (LaPointe) Haapanen and Kelly LaPointe, as well as five grandchildren and one greatgrandson.

Mary T. DeMalia, 62 WORCESTER - Mary T. DeMalia, 62, of Worcester, formerly of Shrewsbury, passed away with loved ones gathered at her bedside on April 29, 2021 after a valiant 19-year battle with cancer. Mary is survived by her two children, Vincent D. Farina Jr. and Maria G. Farina, both of Worcester; the apple of her eye and life’s love, her granddaughter, Isabella Rosalia Mary; a sister and her best friend, Theresa M.A. Rocco and her husband Frank of Auburn; two brothers, William A DeMalia Jr. and his wife Patricia of Rockledge, Fla. and John A. DeMalia and his wife Laurie of Hubbardston; her sister-in-law, Jeanne DeMalia of Uxbridge; and many godchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Mary, a woman with a deep faith in her catholic religion, who attended Mass on a regular basis, joins in heaven her parents, William and Teresa; her two brothers, Andrew V and Michael A. DeMalia; and other family members. The Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel of Worcester assisted with arrangements.

Steven Dubowik, 74 NORTHBOROUGH - Steven Dubowik, beloved husband, devoted father and loving grandfather, passed away at his home on April 27, 2021. He was 74 years old. Steven was born in Portland, Maine, one of three sons to the late Chester L. and M. Patricia (Brennick) Dubowik. Family was the center of Ste-

Dubowik and his husband Daniel Coppinger of Palmetto, Fla. and Robert J. Dubowik and his wife Debra of Northborough; and numerous nieces and nephews. Michael J. Cunningham, 52 GRAFTON - Michael J Cunningham, 52, passed away on the morning of April 28, 2021 after losing his battle to stage IV cancer. He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Cunningham; parents Gary and Loretta Cunningham; his brothers, Brian and Steven Cunningham; and his nieces, Vivian and Isabelle Cunningham. Michael was loved so deeply by his family and friends, and fought his battle up until the last second. Roney Funeral Home of North Grafton assisted with arrangements.

Auli E. Lamsa, 93 WESTBOROUGH - Auli (Ruutikainen) Lamsa, 93, of Westborough, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2021 at the Hannah B.G. Shaw Home in Middleborough. She was the beloved wife of 46 years to the late Toivo Lamsa, who died in 1995. She is survived by her children, Larry, Loraine, Anita, Arlene, and Taina Lamsa; her daughter, and sons-in-law, Holly Dodge, Fred Mitchell, and Rob Billet; her grandchildren, Eric Billet, Kelly Mitchell, Adam Billet, and Emily Cavalier; and her great-grandchildren, Willow and George Waitkunas, Ari Billet, and Parker and Charlie Cavalier; and her nieces and nephews in Finland. She was predeceased by her brothers, Mikko and Erkki Ruutikainen. Pickering & Son Westborough Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
