The Newcomers and Neighbors Club of Colts Neck, Holmdel, and surrounding areas will hold its first meeting of a new season on September 9 at the Colts Neck Community Church, located at 25 Merchants Way in Colts Neck. The meeting is open to all guests and will begin at 9:30 am with a social hour, coffee and refreshments, and a business meeting. Activity leaders will speak, groups will be formed and the members/prospective members will be given a rundown of the many events that are planned for the year. An autumn brunch is being planned for October 14 at Trump National Golf Club, reservations can be made by sending a check to Newcomers and Neighbors Club, 19 Beaver Dam Road, Colts Neck, NJ, 07722. Plans are also being made for a Holiday Luncheon in early December. All events are tentative due to the pandemic. The Newcomers and Neighbors Club has been an integral part of the community for more than 40 years. Many lasting friendships have been formed and members are eager to return to the events and activities they have enjoyed for so many years. Though the club is not specifically a charity, it makes donations to worthy groups such as the Food Bank and thrift shops.
