S TONEBRIDGE R ANCH N EWS
This month’s magazine will focus on our new ACTIVENet system and amenities maintenance.
Upcoming events include Meet the Easter Bunny on Saturday, April 1, and the first Evening on the Veranda of the season on Friday,
April 14.
We learned additional information this month concerning TxDOT’s proposed final route for the 380 bypass project called the Blue Route which has Segment A as their preferred route. This 12-lane roadway (8 lanes of freeway and 4 lanes of service roads) segment enters 380 directly in front of our Kensington Village and continues along the existing 380 to Coit Road and includes an overpass over both Stonebridge Drive and Custer Road as it is currently proposed. It is very detrimental to Stonebridge Ranch.
Board Meeting, February 23, 2023
The Board meeting was called to order at 12:30 PM. All Board members were present. Also attending were our Executive Director, Executive Administrator, Director of Compliance, Financial Manager, Lifestyle Director, Grand Manors VP of On-site Management, and the Association’s Attorney. Three homeowners attended to observe the meeting. One homeowner addressd the Board about the visibility of trash bins in Grand Traditions.

New Business
We discussed and approved a Resolution opposing TxDOT’s 380 bypass project Blue Route Segment A and Supporting Segment B. The Board also voted to allow the Board President to continue to oppose Segment A at any future project 380 bypass discussions as appropriate.
We reviewed the annual meeting slides and other material for the Annual meeting.
We also reviewed our BOD meeting preparations process to see if there are ways we can improve it.
Association Reports
We reviewed the following December Financial Reports: Balance Sheet, Operating Revenue and Expense Statement, Restricted and Non-Restricted Investment Schedule, Summary of Accounts Receivable, Bad Debt Expense Reserve, and Investment Performance Report.

Summer SRCA Amenities
The spring months are a sign that swimming and summer activity season is upon us!
Stonebridge Ranch is preparing for a great 2023 season featuring the amenities that all residents enjoy. Among our numerous amenities, there are several which are consistently popular: two breathtaking pools, rentable Beach Club pavilions, and the impressive Stonebridge Lake. Our community provides numerous opportunities to engage and entertain resident families throughout the summer. Read below regarding three of our most anticipated features.
Pools: Beach Club and Aquatic Center
Both SRCA pools are set to open on May 6, 2023. Dates and hours of operation for this year’s pool season can be found on page 12 of this issue and on our website at https://StonebridgeRanch.com/ premier-amenities/.
Before heading to the Beach Club or Aquatic Center to enjoy a splashing good time, SRCA families should take note of the rules that are enforced to make the swimming experience safe and enjoyable.
• Smoking is not permitted at the Beach Club or Aquatic Center.
• Visitors may bring food and beverages (including alcohol) to the pools. Keep in mind, glass containers are strictly prohibited. Please do not bring food or drink into the pool itself.

and relax with a snack.
• Diving into pools is strictly prohibited.
• Young children or children with special needs should never be left unattended by guardians.
• WALK, don’t RUN around pools.
• Pool toys may be used at the discretion of the lifeguards on duty. Large rafts, water guns, and water cannons are prohibited.

If a Beach Club pavilion has not been rented, it is available to Stonebridge Ranch residents during pool hours on a firstcome, first-served basis.
• Beach Club pavilions may be reserved during two time slots, either from 10 AM to 1 PM or from 2 PM to 5 PM. When the pool is open from Noon to 5 PM, only the 2 PM to 5 PM slot is available. Corporate parties at pavilions during pool hours are limited to Tuesday through Friday.
• Residents may reserve no more than two picnic pavilions for private use per day.
• Renting tenants may rent a pavilion ONLY AFTER completing the Transfer of Privileges Form with their leasing homeowner. Please visit https://StonebridgeRanch.com/wp-content/ uploads/2022/12/STONEB-221122-Transfer-ofPrivileges-Form.pdf to access the form.

ACTIVENet Announcement
Stonebridge Ranch Community Association will soon be offering a new facilities, activities, and membership management system aimed to provide homeowners with an expedited way to check in at the pools, reserve and pay for Community Room and Beach Club pavilion rentals, and register for activities.
ACTIVENet, a leading provider of software technology and marketing solutions, has been chosen by the Amenities Committee and approved by the Board of Directors to provide an upgraded experience for homeowners enjoying SRCA amenities and social events. ACTIVENet is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, and is used by government associations, parks and recreation departments, sports facilities, universities, YMCAs, and other large HOAs.
A big bonus of this new system is the ability to accept credit/debit cards to pay for guest fees, Community Room, and Beach Club rentals, as well as register and pay in advance for activities. The new online registration system will streamline administrative duties within the Association, and homeowners will be able to view up-to-date information, which makes the sign-up process for Stonebridge Ranch events and reserving select amenities simple, fast, and convenient.
Stonebridge Ranch residents will be asked to visit the
SRCA on-site office to obtain a new barcode Stonebridge Ranch ID card once this new system is in place. Current Stonebridge Ranch IDs will remain valid for this year. Stay tuned for further information regarding this exciting new feature from Stonebridge Ranch! ◀

SRCA Boardroom
6201 Virginia Parkway
Our April Book Club selection is West with Giraffes by Lynda Rutledge.
“West with Giraffes is a historical novel based on the true story of an unlikely pair transporting two giraffes across the country during the Great Depression. It’s 1938. The Great Depression lingers. Hitler is threatening Europe, and world-weary Americans long for wonder. They find it in two giraffes who miraculously survive a hurricane while crossing the Atlantic. What follows is a twelveday road trip in a custom truck to deliver Southern California’s first giraffes to the San Diego Zoo. Behind the wheel is the young Dust Bowl rowdy Woodrow. Inspired by true events, the tale weaves real-life figures with fictional ones, including the world’s first female zoo director, a crusty old man with a past, a young female photographer with a secret, and assorted reprobates as spotty as the giraffes”.
“Part adventure, part historical saga, and part coming-of-age love story, West with Giraffes explores what it means to be changed by the grace of animals, the kindness of strangers, the passing of time, and a story told before it’s too late.”
