Think of your MATC education as a ladder you climb to reach your career goals. As you climb, you earn credentials, from certificates to technical diplomas to associate degrees. Each credential leads to a job or, in the case of an associate degree, a job or transferring to a four-year college or university.

MATC Foundation scholarships pay for tuition or the entire cost of your education, making college a reality for many students. Visit matc.edu/ scholarships for a full list of scholarships.
Students in short-term technical diploma and certificate programs may be eligible for this full-ride scholarship that puts them on the fast track to a career by covering:
• Tuition and course fees
• Required books and equipment/supplies through the MATC Bookstore
• Child care (during classes, advising and commute time) reimbursed through MATC Children’s Centers or a state-licensed child care provider
• Food through the campus meal plan and grocery gift cards
• Housing as available at Westown Green apartments
• Transportation through Milwaukee County Transit System U-PASS or MATC parking vouchers
Wisconsin’s first free tuition program covers up to 75 credits of your MATC education.
• New High School Grads, including GED/HSED/AHS graduates, who will start MATC in the fall semester after their senior year
• Adults age 24 and older who live in the MATC district and have earned at least 6 college credits

Whether you are a current high school student eager to earn college credit or a working adult with experience, MATC has programs to honor your hard work.
By taking dual credit classes at MATC during your junior or senior year of high school, you can earn high school and college credit at the same time. Email dualcredit@matc.edu for details.
High school students can also earn college credits through Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and the College Level Exam Program.
Don’t start at zero! Prior work experience, certifications, military training, national exams and professional licenses may qualify for college credit through Credit for Prior Learning and Experience (CLPE). Learn more at matc.edu/cple.
