Nearly 20 Years Experience As A Licensed Real Estate Investor, Agent & Broker Questions: How much coverage does Our House Magazine have in this market? Well, that’s a question that I would LOVE to answer. Let’s start with where the magazine was when we first began in order to show how much it has grown since we have taken the ownership. When we first purchased the Our House Magazine, there were around 60-80 distribution locations and less than 10,000 printed magazines per month. Even back then, it was still the Largest and Most Professional For Sale by Owner Publication in the area. We evaluated the company to see what our strengths and weaknesses were so that we could further improve ourselves. Our goal was to give our customers the exposure that they needed to sell their property in a tough market. So, we did our homework and searched for ways to increase exposure for our customers. We quickly found out that a TV show for the houses in the magazine was not only ineffective with regards to proving results, but it was also very expensive. Instead, we decided to increase the size of our distribution locations in the area and the amount of magazines published every month. The effectiveness far outweighed the cost here. So far, the magazine has been our proof that this method is the way to sell houses. We began buying more and more indoor and outdoor distribution stands to keep up with the amount of locations and magazines we needed. Then, we signed contracts that would allow us the right to place our magazines in national store chains such as Kmart, Sears, Winn Dixie, CVS Pharmacy, and Blockbuster, just to name a few. Next, we increased our distribution area to cover a larger geographical area, which is now more than any other printed real estate magazine in the area. We expanded to many different towns, such as Geneva, Talbotton, Lagrange, Cusseta, West Point, Lanett, Opelika and Auburn. In almost every market we went into, we were the very first For Sale by Owner Publication. Of course, we had to increase our monthly publication again. Our count ranges as high as 25,000 at times. Talk about exposure! Our House Magazine is now found at more than 300 Locations and is still growing. Back in April of this year, we signed another contract to increase our locations with Fort Benning, Georgia. That’s right! We are now found at more locations on Fort Benning than any other real estate publication, and we can prove it! With the Fort Benning progression and incoming soldiers, what better exposure for our For Sale By Owners? Here’s the best part –We completely expanded AND lowered the cost to our advertisers.
