AYEAROFTRIUMP 2023-2024

Early 2023 we had only 5 paid members and the club wa suspended. It was not an easy task to become a club good standing, after suspending the club

With the support of My VP of education, we spent many sleepless nights contacting world headquarters. Luckily we were able to pay the dues of 3 members and the membership was brought to 8 in July 2023

It is indeed a pleasure for me to be the president of the Commercial Bank Toastmasters Club for the year 2023 -2024 The past 12 months were a year filled with many challenges, and I am happy to say that with my ExCo we converted all challenges into opportunities.

As President, I had to face many challenges with having only 8 members. My Area Director asked me whether I am having an Installation

I said yes and we also organized the installation ceremony with eight members.

During the month of August, I contacted many branch managers and with their help, we were able to get 10 new members. With this ten we were able to increase the membership to 17 as of the 1st of October and also won the Smedley Award

In November and December with the help of the Staff Development Centre we were able to conduct two "Let the World Know" programmes to communicate the importance of the Toastmasters to our staff members

We conducted a Speech Craft programme for our bank Staff. There were around 25 staff members who participated Most of them were interested, however, 9 of them joined in February and March. As a result, we were able to get the Talk Up Toastmasters Award. Our membership increased to 24

Further, We spoke to most of the staff members who joined us for the Speech Craft.

In the month of May, we were able to register seven new members and as a result, we were eligible for the “Beat the Clock Award”.

At the end of June 2024, our membership was 31.

We as Toastmasters should never curse the darkness, but to light a candle that can guide us through the darkness to a safe and sure future.

Through regular meetings and events, the club has built individuals who inspire one another to achieve their goals. grown in numbers but also in the depth of its impact, cultivating a culture of continuous learning and excellence

This strategic approach has fostered a vibrant community where members support each other in their personal and professional growth and were able to grow the club membership from five to thirty one when the 2023/2024 term reach it’s end

The future looks bright as the club continues to thrive under the guidance of its visionary leaders, setting new benchmarks for success and community engagement
