“A community ensemble such as ours is not sustained by the musicians you see on stage alone. You. Our audience full of friends, family, colleagues and community members are an integral part of our success. For coming to concert after concert to applaud and appreciate the time and effort we put into our concerts, thank you.
As we celebrate the past, present, and future of this ensemble tonight we have a unique and time sensitive opportunity for you to support your friends and family on stage. We have received a generous matching grant for $750. Which means that all donations made to the Columbus Pride Bands by midnight tonight will be matched 1:1, up to $750. Donations to the bands help us fund rehearsal space, instrument and equipment purchases as well as special events and ensembles.
You will find our Venmo and PayPal information below, as well as a tip bucket for cash and checks in the lobby at our information table. Your contributions help us continue the legacy of this ensemble.“
This summer the Columbus Prides Bands will host the 2024 Pride Bands Alliance National Conference here in Columbus, Ohio. Scheduled for July 17–21, 2024, members from the other 36 Pride Bands Alliance member bands will be traveling to Columbus to experiance this event.
Our conference will be rich with artistic collaborations, musical performances and vast opportunities for the participants to explore our amazing city.
The Heart of it All, will also showcase the diversity and musical richness of Columbus by highlighting music and composers from and about The Buckeye State. We are showing the Pride Bands Alliance members how our region truly is at the heart of so much culture. The conference will be based in the heart of downtown Columbus, as our host hotel, social & gala events and our performances are all within one square mile.
Planned are a variety of performance opportunities including, concert bands, big band, pep band, color guard performance and opportunities for chamber ensembles. The conference will also include workshops, social events, organizational meetings for the PBA organization, and keynote apperances by Jim Obergafell.
This event has been a major undertaking and a large financial committment for our small organization the last year. Your financial support will ensure our success in this endeavor.
