The Columbus Nature Preserves, led by the Nature Preserve Advisory Council, aim to preserve the local natural heritage for current and future citizens of Central Ohio. A major tenet of the nature preserves program is advocating conservation, protection, and enhancement through awareness and education. Members of the Nature Preserve Advisory Council desire to share information and generate interest in a growing system of nature preserves. To further this initiative, the council requested an update of their existing tri-fold brochure. Columbus Recreation and Parks Department (CRPD) staff members developed the Nature Preserve Postcard Book, inspired by a traditional field guide, to replace the outdated brochure. The book is intended to be distributed at various events, meetings and offices throughout Central Ohio.
