The Beatles had The White Album and Color had 2.1: An issue that made a promise to its readers that it would be constantly growing, and only improve upon its message with quality second to none. Although it was making a name for itself in the streets of Vancouver, this issue in particular was born of the rolling hills and mountains surrounding the Okanagan Valley where the entire editorial staff had originally found skateboarding themselves. Photographer Bob Kronbauer (formerly of Girl Skateboards' Art Dump), featured female professional skateboarder Jessie Van, Matt Irving and the Barrier Kult all have this rural farm community in their histories. Perhaps it's no accident that a the thriving 90s skate community would go on to impact the skateboard industry years later, allowing them to reunite (if even by coincidence) inside these pages.
