This is an interlayer. From across the street to across the world, we seek out amazing materials, encase them between two sheets of ecoresin, and handcraft it into trend-setting accessories.

• We repurpose pre-loved materials like catalogs, old coffee bags, and pairs of jeans as interlayers. • We reduce waste through the production of our ecoresin in a Zero-Landfill facility. • We decrease our carbon footprint through the purchase of carbon credits to offset emissions created in the making of our jewelry. • We handcraft our accessories in the USA rather than factories overseas.

Chiapas, Mexico A legacy of tradition and beauty paint the villages of Chiapas, Mexico. Vibrant threads bring patterns to life that have been passed down through centuries. 20 hours of setup and a week of weaving produce just one panel of our Chiapas weaves, which we purchase at fair trade prices. Our impact: the purchase of the Chiapas weaves helps support multiple families in each village and is empowering Cece to become the first female in her family to be an entrepreneur and purchase her own land.

Meet Astou

Ndem, Senegal A remote village sits deep in the African desert, where the people of Ndem have learned to grow organic cotton that they plant, harvest, spin, weave, dye, cut, and sew by hand. The craft has brought steady employment to the villagers, who would otherwise have to travel two days on foot to find work. Our impact: the purchase of the organic cotton fabric empowers the women of Ndem to have a source of income and provides financial safety through micro-savings groups.

Our donations have helped fund the creation of community gardens in the village of Ndem so the people can have access to fresh vegetables and adequate nutrition. Excess crops are also sold in a local marketplace to supplement income.

Madagascar Thousands of miles away, on the island of Madagascar, Artisans skillfully produce this new favorite interlayer by gathering silk cocoons and flattening them with a coal iron. The cocoons are then stitched together to create a mesh fabric that is truly remarkable. The artisans then dye the fabric with non-toxic pigments, giving it an organically vibrant color that will turn heads and make you feel as stunning as the interlayer itself.

Nepal A country rebuilds after earthquake devastation, but the handcrafted beauty of our Nepalese interlayers remains unchanged and equally stunning. From traditional monastery paper to handspun silk to hand-dyed raffia, our Artisans create beauty from the elements around them. Lhakpa—leader of the Nepal Artisan groups—employs dozens of Artisans including many women who, like his wife, are deaf and have few employment options and face strong cultural oppression. Our impact: the support of the Nepal Artisans helps them enjoy fair trade wages, access to healthcare benefits, and gives hope to women with disabilities.

Meet Lhakpa

With the help of our donations, the Nepalese Artisan groups have been able to begin rebuilding the local Hillary School and their homes that were destroyed in the April 2015 earthquake.
