9:45am / newspaper distribution “Distributing the newspaper can be fun and crazy all at the same time because there’s so many copies and we want to make sure everyone has one so they can keep up to date with the school,” said Avery Hajde ‘20.

“So that we could sell as many as possible, we put out a lot of posters, announce to classes, and ecouraged everyone in choir to tell their friends, too,” said Sarah Beam ‘00.

4:00pm / jv games “We had worked so hard leading up to the game. There were so many ups and downs. I’m just proud of my team that we ended up coming coming together and pulling out the win,” said Dylan Blankenship ‘19.

5:15pm / girls’ senior night “Hearing everyone cheer for me and them read off my high school career and showing off with my family at my side was an awesome feeling of accomplishment,” said Abbie Cooley ‘18.

5:30pm / girls’ varsity games “I wasn’t as nervous as I was last year, but there is always a lot of pressure before and during this game,” said Madison Hema ‘19.

8:00pm / boys’ varsity game “I just try to focus on the guys on the court. I just try to make it a game of basketball instead of a game of politics, and when it comes down to that, you can play in any amount of pressure,” said Bryson Lindsey ‘19.

At the boys’ varsity half time, the group performed in front of a crowd of roughly 2,800 people.”I love to perform in front of a bunch of people so it was a lot of fun,” said Hermansdorfer. 3. love song Lara Pelham buys a flower and a song for her boyfriend. The purchase of a valogram goes towards the choir program to help pay for busses and events. “I bough three Valograms for each of Tanner [Janda ‘20]’s classes because I wanted to embarrass him, said Pelham. 4. breaking ankles Carson Moorhead ‘19 dribbles around the defence. With so many people people in the stands, the energy in the room was high. “The environment is something you experience very few times in your life, and we are all just trying to make the best of it,” said Moorhead. 5. proud crowd Students wave towels and cheer on the JV boys’ game versus Douglas County High School. The game was neck-andneck, resulting in high emotions throughout the crowd. “The student section is always super fun to be a part of because of how much we love to support our teams,” said Madison laClare ‘19. 6. And One Starting for the first time, Stacia McKinney ‘18 scores rright away. Following Senior Night, the floor was filled with players from the graduating class. “It’s always fun to play DC because it’s one of the few games where students come to cheer us on,” said McKinney. 7. newsworthy Editor in Chief Stephanie Rottman ‘19 prepares the school’s newspaper for distribution. The staff’s goal is to get the paper in the hands of every student. “We put them everywhere imaginable around the school, even in the bathroom,” said Rottman. 8. bwinning spark Varsity team member Bryson Lidsey ‘19 rushes onto the court to celebrate with JV team members Dylan Blankenship ‘19 and Brandon Dixon ‘19. The team won by one point after a series of free throws. “Me and the rest of my team were standing by the bench when Brandon hit those free throws,” said Lindsey. “When the time ran out we all stormed the court and just started mobbing him.”
